5.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet
Loops Of Fury is a EP...why does it always say [CD-Single] at every site...oh well. This was another one of the EP's that I thought stood out alongside the AmericanEP. The song 'Loops Of Fury' is a dynamite track all by itself and it gets even better at the very end when it sets you up with '(The Best Part Of) Breaking Up' which is a rip-it-up track with a wild house...

2.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive, Short, and unimaginitive.
I'm not sure why people were willing to pay for a CD with 4 songs on it (20 minutes). It was clearly an oversight on my part.

I was looking for some more Big Beat (i've been listening to a lot of it lately, say, Propellerheads, Leftfield, Lunatic Calm, Hexstatic, and Apollo440), and Amazon's editors said that this was a good choice.

Well, I'm sorry to inform you,...

Loops Of Fury is a EP...why does it always say [CD-Single] at every site...oh well. This was another one of the EP's that I thought stood out alongside the AmericanEP. The song 'Loops Of Fury' is a dynamite track all by itself and it gets even better at the very end when it sets you up with '(The Best Part Of) Breaking Up' which is a rip-it-up track with a wild house beat in the background along with some "scratches". 'Get Up On It Like This' is the so-called EXTENDED VERSION of the song from their album 'Dig Your Own Hole'...I wish this version of the track was on that album instead of the one on it now. I wasn't too thrilled by the Dave Clarke Remix of 'Chemical Beats' to be honest with you guys...I still prefer the original version from 'Exit Planet Dust'. That's my review, Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars First Chemicals CD I bought, August 31, 2001

I bought this when the only true "electronic" music I owned was by The Orb. I had heard of the Chemical Brothers, but didn't know enough about them to want a whole CD. This E.P. was perfect. And as soon as I heard it, I knew I had to have more.

Unlike a lot of Chemical Brothers singles (and other artists as well) this was not a collection of remixes of the same song, but a true E.P. with 4 different songs. So I figured that I would be getting a good sample of what they were about. True, "Chemical Beats" was a remix of the original "Exit Planet Dust" version, but it wasn't repeated on the same CD and I didn't even own the original at the time. The title track, "Loops of Fury", is simply huge. It makes you want to turn it way up, and once you've done that, it makes you wish you were hearing it cranked all the way up inside a club. It just sounds big.

Along with those epic early Orb albums, and a Wax Trax Records sampler that contained Underworld's "Dirty Epic", this started my love of (modern) dance music. Highly recommended to those wanting to try something a little different from the current version of "Alternative Rock" but who have no need for Top 40 radio.

5.0 out of 5 stars Whooooo, great stuff., December 23, 1999
This review is from: Loops of Fury (Audio CD)
Loops of Fury is an amazing song. I just love the deep booming bass and the astounding echoey sounds. The Chemicals have an ear for beats that remain unparalleled in the music world. Breaking Up is also a really cool song, with more weird samples and a strange experimentation with stereo effects at the end.

I don't care much for the other two songs, but the first two, which are available only on this release (except for various other compilations) make this EP very much worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Part of my everyday listening - it really rocks!, December 30, 1998

I can't get enough of "(The Best Part of) Breaking Up" - esp. toward the end when it starts playing between each speaker! I'd been hoping there'd be an extended mix of "Get Up On It Like This" & my wish was more than fulfilled w/ this mix. I'd already heard "Loops of Fury" on the Wipeout XL CD, but I think it's great the way it segs right into "(The Best Part of) Breaking Up". As usual, this CD rocks - Chemical Bros. always come through.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, once again, April 3, 2001
This review is from: Loops of Fury (Audio CD)
I strongly recommend this on vinyl. A pleasure to listen to, for as usual the Chemical Brothers amaze me. Loops of Fury is a classic Brothers tune, as is Get Up On It Like This, so of course they make you move, but... The Best Part (Of Breaking Up) and Chemical Beats (Dave Clarke Remix) I had never heard before. And now I know I was missing out because these two songs are just as phenomenal. Get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Just Good Stuff, February 1, 1999

This is a great CD with two songs any Chemical Brothers fan must own: "Loops Of Fury" and "Get Up On It Like This." "(The Best Part Of) Breaking Up" is also quite good. A CD like this with a few great songs is better than a 20-track CD full of crap. Get this CD if you like this type of music for sure.

4.0 out of 5 stars You gotta have that song!!!, October 18, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Loops of Fury (Audio CD)
If you are a real Chemical Brothers fan, you gotta listen to the first track on this CD. It is a classic from the acid breakbeat era. The rest of the CD is not necessarily as good, but then again, have you ever heard a really bad song from these guys???
