The heated debate surrounding any mention of 9/11 truth in the mainstream media will almost certainly prevent this documentary from getting the attention it deserves. LOOSE CHANGE 9/11: AN AMERICAN COUP is the fourth in the series, and related to the first three only through subject matter and the repetition of some very brief scenes featured in LOOSE CHANGE FINAL CUT.

As most people should be aware by this point, the LOOSE CHANGE series focuses on inconsistencies in the official story of 9/11. The presence of such inconsistencies should be self-evident enough for anyone who cares to briefly look, but the reluctance of both government and mainstream media to `go there' requires people outside those fields to present the evidence themselves. (Hence, books on 9/11 by David Ray Griffin, Peter Dale Scott, Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed and Webster Tarpley, and films such as TERRORSTORM, 9/11 PRESS FOR TRUTH and the LOOSE CHANGE movies.) Before covering this most recent installment, I'll suggest up front that newcomers to these films, or to the notion of the official story of 9/11 not reflecting the full truth of the events of that day, should make a strong effort to catch the third (LOOSE CHANGE FINAL CUT) and fourth (AMERICAN COUP) entries. These are the most polished, well-researched, satisfying and useful films from the ongoing series.

AN AMERICAN COUP takes a broad view of the events of 9/11, and places them within a continuum of incidents from recent history that display the clever duplicity of governments - or determined elements within them - to get what they want politically, absent any notion of democratic approval from an openly informed general public. We see well-presented overviews of the Reichstag fire, Pearl Harbor, and other vital historical incidents, some presented in more detail than others. This entire section, as well done as it is, is nonetheless completed within the first dozen minutes of the movie. (The film even makes mention here of the Kennedy assassination, conveying a good deal in just a handful of shots, and ending with a particularly telling montage).

The events of 9/11 make up the body of the movie, and LOOSE CHANGE: AN AMERICAN COUP enters the front rank of all films that honestly address the events of that day. I have now personally watched a dozen or so films investigating 9/11, and digested a greater number of lectures and presentations covering the same topic, while simultaneously plowing through something like 20 or more related books. (This is a mundane fact, as I suspect a majority of people involved in 9/11 truth have done exactly the same thing). AN AMERICAN COUP conveys the sensation of building on that entire body of investigative research, paying careful attention to all the disparate facts and the overall narrative conveyed, then assembling them judiciously to offer the clearest possible overview and message to viewers. Many of the above books and films on 9/11 have conveyed the gravity of the event, and the importance of sharing this information with others, with a tremendous emotional impact. This new LOOSE CHANGE film offers the same potent message, but with an increased strength and clarity that stand out from those that came before. It's a blisteringly powerful movie. The previous LOOSE CHANGE FINAL CUT has remained a favorite of mine for its ability to convey useful information about 9/11 in an effective and energizing manner. LOOSE CHANGE 9/11: AN AMERICAN COUP is a more forceful experience that covers a similar breadth of material in a noticeably more polished way. It will evoke strong reactions from anyone who watches it.

The film provides an analysis of war-games taking place on the day, concurrent with the various attacks. This overview contains some extra details on the events that I hadn't fully understood before, and the additional information makes a big difference, clarifying the apparent methods used by covert figures within the government to distort the American military response to the hijackings. (These details had appeared earlier in Michael Ruppert's CROSSING THE RUBICON, but this is the first time I've seen them presented quite so clearly, with accompanying audio and video evidence).

The narrative of events shown post-9/11 includes the various contradictory appearances and messages made by Osama Bin Laden, who initially denied involvement in the 9/11 attacks, then (if the Bush administration and their fortuitously located, perfectly timed smoking-gun tapes could be believed), reversed his earlier comments and took credit for them after all. A thorough analysis of the overall unlikelihood of Bin Laden's `confessions of guilt' can be found in David Ray Griffin's recent `OSAMA BIN LADEN: DEAD OR ALIVE?'. AN AMERICAN COUP makes the same points through the juxtaposition of different images featuring Bin Laden - and not the two or three pictures you've probably seen used to present this argument elsewhere. This sequence is quite well done.

The film covers the collapse of WTC7, and revisits important testimony made by witness Barry Jennings. Some of this has previously appeared in the excellent FABLED ENEMIES documentary, but we see here some extra moments, and then the upsetting epilogue to the story. The latter includes a full screen shot of an email sent to the filmmakers by a private detective, who suggests to them that some doors are best left unopened. Aspects of this story are left unspoken, others only hinted at, but viewers will have enough information at this point to reach some definite conclusions.

AN AMERICAN COUP benefits from having the production resources to do what it wants. At one point, the narration discusses events in New York, and we see perfectly realized CG recreations of the Manhattan landscape from the day of 9/11, carefully detailed down to hundreds of individual buildings. The sound design of the film is also superlative, with some explosive moments hitting home very hard, and appropriately so. There are numerous moments like this, not dwelt on in a showy manner, but all simply used to make a particular point with clarity before moving ahead.

The film is exceptionally well made, and strongly narrated by Daniel Sunjata. It's an important movie, and one that I highly recommend people watch. For anyone with an even halfway open mind, it should prove to be an emotionally overwhelming experience. In the light of the decade of horror resulting from the disaster of 9/11, its existence provides evidence to me of two notions. First, that truth maintains its own energy, continually grows in force and effect, and cannot be easily extinguished. Secondly, that deception rests on flimsy foundations, is supported only through increasing amounts of desperation and bluster, and will ultimately wither away in full view. Don't miss LOOSE CHANGE 9/11: AN AMERICAN COUP.

This movie is amazing, and I highly recommend that you watch it.

That being said, I'm going to speak about the negative reviews on here, none of which bear any credence. First off, the person who wrote the review titled, "Please Don't Buy This Crap!" should be immediately dismissed because he states that they have "not seen it, and will not watch it." Clearly, and most certainly, they have not even looked at the facts in this movie and have automatically come to the conclusion that anyone who doesn't buy into the governments official story surrounding that day, is a wackjob conspiracy theorist like the main stream media would like us all to believe.

For the person whose review is simply titled, "Garbage," he/she makes the claim that the filmmaker got rejected from film school. Frankly, even if that's true, it's completely irrelevant, and he certainly wouldn't be the first. This reviewer then goes on to slander the filmmaker by saying that he produces this material to turn a profit on the 9/11 tragedies. This is laughable firstly, because he has literally put his own safety and reputation on the line to bring this message. And secondly, anyone who knows him or the members of the 9/11 Truth Movement knows that his work is fully endorsed by MANY 9/11 victims family members, 9/11 Truth organizations, and first responders, who are dying of respiratory conditions due to EPA Administrator Christie Whitman telling our heroes that the air at ground zero was safe to breathe.

Now finally, to the last review, "Swiss cheese has fewer holes than this film," which by the way was the only one to actually raise a real argument. The most blatant lie in this review is this: "The official organizations that you think would support films that raise questions about the events of 9/11 think this movie is garbage." Try searching for anything remotely in support of that statement and what you'll find is this joker's quote from his amazon review, because it's based on nothing. I dare you to find me an organization that actually has importance in this movement that doesn't endorse the Loose Change films. As I mentioned earlier, this documentary is endorsed by many 9/11 victim's family members, 9/11 Truth organizations, and first responders, because it fights for what they themselves fight for. Just to name a few in support of this documentary are New York city police and firefighters, 9/11 first responders and their families, victims families, prominent architects/engineers under the banner of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth ([...],) Dr. Steven Jones who has scientifically proven there to be nanothermite explosive material in the 9/11 dust, plus many other people and organizations. The comparison between the Empire State Building and the Twin Towers is used in no other way other than to emphasize the FACT that in all of modern history, only 3 steel skyscrapers have ever come crashing to the ground because of fire, and they all happened on the same day; September 11, 2001, World Trade Center's Twin Towers and World Trade Center Building 7. The Twin Towers were designed in such a way that each tower could have sustained multiple airliners at that speed. Think of it as stabbing a pencil into a screen door window and you'll have a great comparison. There is no way that those planes took those buildings down, period.

Watch this film and decide for yourself.

I have heard all the propagandas and double talk about 9/11. But this DVD explaination is the only logical explaination of what I see with my own eyes regarding the fall of the World Trade Center.

The basic laws of physic would make all the other explainations improbable, and this one is the only one that would make sense under the laws of physic.

Initially, I thought the idea of 9/11 being an inside job was absurd. After watching the film and looking into it further for almost 10 years now, I find that many things just do not add-up. I saw the first issue of this film given to me by a sick and dying student of mine whose father was in the U.S. military. I was in the U.S. Army during the 1st Gulf War.

Here are just a few undisputed facts the movie presents:

WTC 1, 2 and 7 all fell on their footprint in freefall time. This is impossible without the use of explosives. Some would argue that there were explosives- the planes, but according to a law of simple thermo-dynamics, a plane (and it's fuel which burned off within seconds after crashing) could not generate enough energy to bring down an entire skyscraper. No plane, no engines, no bags nor bodies were found at the Shanksville, Pennsylvania crash site. The nose of a Commercial Jetliner cannot penetrate three rings of the steel reinforced concrete walls of the Pentagon.

Truth is stranger than fiction, and the truth can be horrible. Look it up sometime and start questioning the U.S. government and then demand answers. I also would recommend 911 Press for Truth (includes testimony from family members of the 911 victims), The Tillman Story, and Terror Storm.

After viewing this well produced documentary, it affirms my opinion that "Our Goverments are run by the Big Dollar & Self Intrest Folks" That will stop at nothing to gain and control the Power they have to meet their own Selfish Self Interests.. In regards to The theory in this DVD on what was used to bring the Towers down "Not The Aircraft", I am very Familiar and Trained in this Method of "Thermites" invented by a German named Orgotherm. We used it to weld Ribbon Rail on the Railroad. It tells of All The Big Companys that tryed to Bribe a Major General with a reward of 30 Million Dollars and 500,000 mercenarys to topple President Roosevelts Presidency in 1934. I wont publish the names of the companys here, but it will knock you over, if you view the DVD. Big Steel Co. Big Food Co. 1 of Big 3 Auto Mfgs. A Mega Large U.S. Bank. A Large Weapons Co.A Major Tire Co.. & The Grandfather of 1 of our 'Living Ex- Presidents... It shows how LBJ tricked Congress into the 'Tonkin Gulf Resolution" that sent us to war with N. Viet Nam.. Anyone who purchases this DVD, it will be the Best Investment You Ever made. In Regards to your knowledge, as to how far a goverment will go to conspire with evil doers, to make a stinking Dollar.. I was in The USAF 12 years and I kid you not. As I posted this DVD "Will Scare The Hell Out Of You", but make you much more wiser.

This is a riveting documentary, which echos the "conspiracy theory" of 9/11: In Plane Sight. Ask yourself these questions: Why did the World Trade Center buildings fall like construction demolitions? Why did the WTC 7 building fall like a demolition and why weren't the explosions & fires in that building investigated? Why did the Twin Towers and WTC 7 burn for 4 months? Did that have to do with demolition explosives keeping the embers alive? Why did neither of the planes that hit the Trade Centers have commercial flight markings? Why was all the wreckage from WTC7 taken under military guard? Why did the Flight 93 crater not have any evidence of plane wreckage or fuel spills? And why didnt' the Pentagon damage have plane wreckage or fuel spills contaminating the area? Why does the video of the Pentagon explosion not show a plane hitting the Pentagon? Why did Bush say the day of 9/11 he had seen the first plane hit the tower when that footage was never shown until a day later by a French film maker who just happened to capture the first planes impact. Why did the Bush Administration not investigate any of these suspicious elements? Too top secret? Was the Bush machine protecting the American public from more potential terrorists? Or were they the true "evil doers" protecting their dirty secrets? I've lost count on all the things that just don't add up from what the government & network media were "spinning." PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE FACTS ABOUT THE SKY SCRAPER FIRE DAMAGE STATISTICS: THE FACT THAT THE ONLY 3 BUILDINGS IN HISTORY TO BE DESTROYED DUE TO FIRE DAMAGE WERE ON 9/11/01. This video should be shown to high schoolers, college & university students as part of the tragic and inconclusive investigation of 9/11/01. Watch this on Netflix or buy it...and pass it on...

Essentially, this documentary outlines the ingredients used by intelligence operatives to piggyback plausible deniable operations on top of actions discovered to be "in progress." The operations essentially become intertwined presumably resulting in adequate plausible deniability with the aid of the press and other "experts" and Pentagon "sources" after the fact. The two towers collapsing, or imploding in the way they did, is interesting enough. However, when I went to the National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) Report to discover the reasons for the speed of the collapse, I was disappointed. NIST decided not to study to collapse of the towers from the point of initiation to the ground. It seems like common sense that one would want to know WHY the buildings collapsed so fast, and physical calculations would certainly aid in that discovery. There are many other aspects to the attack 9 years ago that go beyond mere speculation and into the realm of simple lack of sound police work. For example, if one googles mural truck and 911, one will arrive at a police broadcast where NYPD stopped a truck with a mural depicting the attacks. They stopped the vehicle on 911 and apprehended the drivers. The press did not follow up on the intriquing story. In fact, there were several B team trucks in Manhattan which caused havoc and confusion (and some described as exploding), but they are scarely known except through original reports to be found on Youtube. It seems that the entire pandora's box began with the training and preparation of some Saudi Arabians but became something completely horrific--one that has changed history forever.

I got this DVD on a recommendation from a 911 Truther. There has been solid refutation of most of the claims made in this movie (and other similar books and movies), the best one being the NIST final report: Federal Building and Fire Safety Investigation of the World Trade Center Disaster: Final Report of the National Construction Safety Team on the Collapses of the World Trade Center Towers (NIST NCSTAR 1).

As part of my college engineering studies I took a class called Strength of Materials and was surprised (along with the rest of the class) to learn that steel framed buildings have very poor fire ratings. This is because when steel gets hot (way before it melts) the strength degrades a huge amount. Because of this fact all building codes require that some form of thermal insulation be applied to structural steel. If this thermal insulation is compromised, like when an large airplane crashes into a building, the steel no longer can function when exposed to fire. Note that a steel framed building can survive a fire for many many house if the thermal insulation is intact. The 911 truthers don't seem able to comprehend this idea.

The idea that explosives were used brings up the question of where they were placed. Everywhere?, No, then not in the basement of WTC1, WTC2 because the videos show the collapse starting where the planes hit. So were explosives placed at those points and it was the job of the pilot to crash at that exact floor? In the National Geographic DVD showing the prep for a controlled demolition of an 8 story building the amount of prep is much larger than you might think, and for a building the size of WTC1, WTC2 or WTC7 would be massive. After explosives are used there are many clues that are not vaporized, but none were found.

Another aspect that I found interesting is the claim that there were military exercises occurring on Sep 11, 2001. The implication was that the exercises were there to complicate or disrupt a response to the events of 9/11. If the movie could say that no such exercises had taken place prior to and/or after 9/11 then they might have had the start of a case, but the fact that they couldn't make that claim really detracts from their theory in that it's something that can easily be checked. So it's clear they knew or didn't what to know about the frequency of these tests and were putting up a straw man.

An interesting aspect to the 911 Truth movement is that they seem to be related to the Democratic party in the same way that Evangelical Christians are related to the Republican party. For more on that see the book The Great Derangement: A Terrifying True Story of War, Politics, and Religion.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But, I do recognize the horrible corruption going on in our unscrupulous government! All politicians are out for themselves and are destroying this great country with the lies and deceit. Movies like this make the public, which is blind and lied to everyday see what's really going on. It's my hope that movies like this wake up Americans to the true demeanor of our horrible government. Rent or buy this is a vary, vary, I can't stress it enough!!! Must see for all Americans!!!! Please watch this documentary for your future and the future of your children. I know you can't believe everything you see and hear but please watch!!! Before it's too late!!!!
