It has been five years since Brice and Mia divorced (in The Ties That Bind [BKL Se 1 04]). Now that she and Brice's former best friend, Christian, are married and have a daughter, Mia's life is back on track. She finally has her black knight, yet she has fretful dreams about her ex-husband. Brice returns to Atlanta from Germany with his new wife, Kree--another woman who gives up her identity to make him happy, even forced to do so. Brice reaches out to Christian to rekindle their friendship, but when Christian mentions it to Mia, she is adamant about not wanting to meet with the man who abused her. In spite of both women's discomfort, the men are anxious to mend their friendship. To support their husbands, Mia and Kree agree to meet. I have to give credit where credit is due.Electa Parks is an excellent author.It takes talent to name a book that actually has something to do with the characters.She has gotten into the souls of each one of her characters and brought out something so realistic and wonderful.She had me searching my soul thinking if I were in each one of these people places would I have done the same things they did or would I have reacted differently.....this book made me laugh,soul search and cry....If you have not read this book....it is a must....Get ready you are in for a real treat....

LOOSE ENDS by Electa Rome Parks takes off where THE TIES THAT BIND left off. Readers are re-united with Mia, Christian, and Brice.

Mia is married to Christian and they have a life filled with love. Mia couldn't be more ecstatic until she starts having nightmares. Nightmares that remind her of the terror that Brice put her through when she was married to him. Christian misses the close brotherly bond he had with Brice, so when Brice reaches out to him after years of not speaking to one another, he is thrilled.

Mia doesn't feel like it's a good idea, but she will do anything to make Christian happy. Reluctantly she agrees to meet with Brice and his new bride, Kree.
Brice appears to have changed, but as we read more about him and Kree's relationship, we see Brice is still controlling and abusive. Whenever Kree decides to think for herself or speak up for herself, Brice quickly reminds her who is in control. Kree begins to harbor feelings of anger and jealousy against Mia because she's Brice's first wife.

After the couples initial meeting, things become easier. Mia has to fight the attraction and bond that exists between herself and Brice. What happens as these two couples lives entwine? Ms. Parks throws in a few twists and turns that will make your mouth drop. If you read The Ties That Bind, you don't want to miss this page-turning continuation -- LOOSE ENDS puts closure to the Mia, Brice, and Christian love triangle.

I have been a fan of Electa's from the beginning. I've waited patiently for this continuation to come out and was one of the first to purchase it. I wrote Electa right away after finishing it.

But on to the real stuff, this book was all that. It keeps you wanting more. It's a definite page turner. You have to read "The Ties That Bind" first though to understand everything. The characters are real, you can relate to them. Mia, Christian, Brice and Kree. There should be more Christian's in the world. Don't underestimate Kree she's a smart cookie. Mia is Mia, that's all I can say about her. And Brice is a piece of work. Keep up the good Electa, your #1 fan from New Jersey.
