4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
The book was a lot cheaper than the bound versions and had exactly the same material. It was a little challenging to keep it nice in a binder because the holes were unevenly drilled. The book was obviously bound before and still had some of the glue on the edges. Other than that I was a great buy

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad Quality Loose leaf (reject-like quality)
I have gotten loose leaf for my other textbooks before. This is however, not a very pleasant one. The book arrived with it's shrink wrap opened. Half of the book was exposed. Front and back covers have several fold marks. Very unsightly. The back cover and last 2 chapters or so at the of the book was not properly punched (holes for binder). The punch just wasn't neat with...

The punch just wasn't neat with so many frills at the diameter of the circles. This will severely affect the book's 'life'. When you toss and turn the book, these pages will tear so easily because of the bad-hole-punching. So, this is by far one of the worse quality loose leaf I have gotten :( I mean, I know this has nothing to do with the contents about the book but some people, like me, does not have an interest in the book anymore with such horrible appearance. Appearance does matter!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Microbiology Textbook, February 22, 2011

I saved $50 and this book is brand new. It is loose leaf but it helped me to divide the book into the appropriate chapters that I needed for each test. You do have to be more organized by getting a book that is not bound but I found it was easier to just carry around what sections from the book that I needed.

2.0 out of 5 stars One Messed-up Looseleaf, February 14, 2011

I wouldn't recommend this product. It is cheaper than the one sold in my university's book store, but it doesn't come with the Learn Smart program like the book store's. It also has crooked hold punches and some messed up pages, so much that the last three or four pages fell right out because the hole punches were at the edge of the pages. If you want to sell your books back, there is no way you would get much for this. Buy the book from your college book store. It will be worth the higher quality...
