5.0 out of 5 stars "Words of Wisdom for Men Young and Old"
This book is an excellent source for you if you wish to understand to a greater degree exactly what kind of man God has called you to be. Mr. Jakes is awesome! He is the epitome of what a man should look like on the outside, but at the same time he is a gentle, meek, caring and humble man of God. This whole book is about how bad guys are and does nothing to tell guys how they need to be. All it says is how bad guys are. Look at the title! Loose that guy. Hmmmm. How many dates has the author had from this book?

This book is an excellent source for you if you wish to understand to a greater degree exactly what kind of man God has called you to be. Mr. Jakes is awesome! He is the epitome of what a man should look like on the outside, but at the same time he is a gentle, meek, caring and humble man of God. The book gives tips for men in marital situations and also gives advice for pre-marital experiences. If more men would read this book and understand what Mr. Jakes teaches, we would then begin to see stronger families and a better world. It must be made evident that Mr. T.D. Jakes speaks with authority, wisdom and truth! He deserves credit for the information he provides for us Christians.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every man who dares speak of himself as God's SON must know!, May 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Loose That Man & Let Him Go! (Paperback)
Had I not read Pastor T.D Jakes' book, I would have found this hard to say, in light of todays feminist movements and all. I believe that a very generous chunk of all the problems we are facing now, personal to global are because men have forgotten WHO THEY ARE, more correctly, who they are supposed to be. And once that happens our women find themselves tautly pulled apart between their God-given roles and those that result from overgrown timid boys strutting about with bulging bellies, bulky muscles and distorted minds. Wether you are at your all-time spriritual low or are at your fastest cruise-mode in your relationship with God, you need to read this stuff. Its packed, its ripe, its what we need to get back to the commision our creator gave us in The Garden when He said "..go and take dominion...". I am a single male, engineering student and am tired of having to struggle with holiness in the midst of excruciating temptations and influences, especially on the emotional side. If you identify even slightly with this, you gotta read some o that Jakes stuff! But more importantly its our Father's stuff...at the end of the day thats the only thing that'll matter afterall!

5.0 out of 5 stars It is Time to Heal!, May 27, 1999

Well, Bishop Jakes has done it again! Get Ready, Get Ready, Get Ready to be set free!

As a male who has experienced the horrors of rejection, sexual abuse, confusion about his role in life and God's purpose; I found Bishop Jakes book to be a blessing from God.

He is so comforting as he describes coming forth out of our grave clothes. For him to use Lazurus as a parable, only blessed me more!

I recommend this book to any male. No matter what your race, creed, or background. They will be blessed by the annointed writings of this mighty Man of God!

Bishop T.D. Jakes has once again allowed himself to be used in a mighty way. "Loose That Man & Let Him Go!," is a book that is packed with the potential to change lives forever. I feel that every man that reads it will be blessed by its content. T.D. 5.0 out of 5 stars The Chapter on The Single Man, June 19, 1998
By A Customer
I would first like to say, I'm very excited to see all that God is doing Through Bishop T.D. Jakes and in the lives of men around the world. I only read the Chapter regarding the single man towards the end of the book. I am a single christian female and was curious to learn what God had to say in this area. I found it to be very interesting because, Bishop Jakes stated at one point that, some men do not know what it is like to be undistracted for a certain amount of time because, most of their lives, they're so use to having someone there every minute every hour. In this mind provoking chapter, Bishop Jakes challenged the men to become in a sound oneness with God. Then and only then can God get their/your attention in directing, shaping and molding the way he has intended for his glory. I just wanted to share my thoughts and gratitute in Bishop Jakes obedience and steadfastness in what God has placed in his life to accomplish. I believe after most men read this book, it will change their lives. I do earnestly believe that God is raising up some Mighty Men of Valor all for his glory and purpose.

God Bless You ! Your Sister In Christ.
