Book Description

May 1, 2003
Bishop T. D. Jakes offers clarity, healing, and restoration to a generation of men--both believers and nonbelievers--confused about their purpose, vision, and roles in today's complex culture. He urges men to let Jesus take hold of their limitations and bondages and to come forth into the light of all God has planned for them. Now the book and easy-to-use workbook are combined in one volume for individual study and small group discussion.

5.0 out of 5 stars MY HUSBAND IS A NEW MAN......., March 9, 2009

This review is from: Loose That Man and Let Him Go! with Workbook:       (Paperback)
I purchased this book for my husband because he was going through a difficult time and his past pains were starting to catch up with him. This book is amazing because my husband is more of a newspaper reader and not so much an avid book reader, however, from the first page, he soaked all that T.D. Jakes had to offer in and it even started a dialogue that we had never had. He is inspired, motivated, and spiritual once again! He's interested in reading so much more and we will definitely be purchasing more books by T.D. Jakes. I also have purchased books by Mrs. Jakes, so we're strengthening our marriage together by starting the work within ourselves. A heartfelt thank you to The Jakes!

Very well written and great content, although I don't agree with it 100%. I am using it in a mens group study.

5.0 out of 5 stars Redeeming our future from a sordid past, January 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Loose That Man and Let Him Go! with Workbook:       (Paperback)
Jakes makes assumptions re: the self perpetuating problems of the African American man raised by single mothers and indifferent fathers that may offend some. Who cares. Raising young men without biological fathers is the leading cause of a numbers of afflictions in our Country. There is much truth in the book and the problem so prevalent that it needs to be not only heard, but learned, kept, and done by all of society.
