High on the sensationalism, low on the trends.,

This review is from: Looting America: Greed, Corruption, Villains, and Victims (Paperback)
If you want to instill hatred, fear, and loathing into your reader, this is an excellent book. Full of anecdotes and horror stories of cover-ups, unsafe medicine, and more, you definitely won't walk away with a love and trust for America's companies.
That said, though, what, really, IS the point of this book? There's no real purpose to the book besides to compile anecdotes; there aren't any trends or real investigation: why, for example, companies do this. If you're looking for research - as I was when I read this book - you'll be hard pressed to really find general or underlying information. |
