I did watch this play on BET and want to add it to my video collection. This play demonstrated to the Christian and the non-Christian how powerful prayer is needed to allow things to change in our lives. It was funny, and I laughed and cried throughout the entire showing. The only complaint I have is the title does not seem appropriate. It should be changed to something with Prayer in the title; at the very least, "Lord, with You, no man is a dog." It emphasizes the power of the tongue which a critical lesson for anyone that claims a relationship with Jesus.

This is one movie that reveals the weaknesses of human nature. But through all our
faults and short-comings love can triumph if we allow ourselves to be open to
divine intervention.

Thank goodness this came on BET and I was able to see it before I purchased it. I understood the concept and what they were trying to do in this play, but it was not good at all.

Don't let the title fool you. This stage play is AWESOME! Gotta admit, I was skeptical about this one. With what I call the "Tyler Perry Movement", I thought this was going to be another attempt at a gospel stage play with over the top drama and a watered-down gospel message. This one, however, stands out amongst the rest due to its incorporation of biblical principals.

Especially with the two characters depicting the enemy...how he plots and schemes to get us to doubt the power of God and to act solely on our emotions...and not knowing our God-given authority through Christ. It's obvious the producer/writer/director reads AND understands the Word of God and knows how to apply it in everyday situations. Great job!!

I also think the absence of a LIVE audience played an important role in allowing the characters to fully develop (you know w/out the "help" of those in the audience that like to speak out to make their voices heard). There was only one scene that I found rather annoying (at the Real Estate office where the actors where getting obnoxious and rowdy) but hey - that's part of the comic relief. I look forward to more stage plays from T.J. Hemphill.
