In this excellent CD, a 1961 quartet recording of all Lucky compositions, Lucky gives a 4 minute spoken introduction. In a very gentle voice he asks "those behind our profession whose desire is to exploit the arts and the artists to reappraise your values". The dealer who jacked up the price of this CD after Lucky passed away (2005) is just what Lucky was talking about, and it is the type of thing that drove him from music for the last 30 years. This CD is still widely available in England at normal prices (label: candidrecords.com; or Amazon.co.uk)and a Chicago dealer said the label will soon have regular USA distribution. Exploiters should reappraise their values! Perhaps donate to a memorial to a great musician!
