Gandalf the Grey, a charismatic, witty, and mysterious wizard, uses all of his powers to help Frodo cross Middle-earth in order to destroy the One Ring. This figure has it all--looks, nice clothing, great accessories, and fantastic articulation, which allows for a wide range of movement. A multi-jointed upper body allows Gandalf to bend and twist comfortably, but little movement in the legs means standing poses are not as easy to accomplish. Details are superb on the wizard's flowing, gauzy tunic, boots, and underclothing. "Real" rooted hair (which is rather unmanageable out of the box but relaxes over time) and a beard enhance the fine facial definition. Gandalf's staff and sword fit comfortably in his hands, but his cap lacks elastic so it only sits on top of his head rather than fitting snuggly. --A. Galindo

I was just down right SAD when I received Gandalf. The robes look nothing like pictures I have seen from the movie. The beard is like a brilo pad and the hair so thick his hat won't stay on. Also when holding his staff there is no where to stick the sword except in his belt. My biggest problem is it will not stand up by itself and the figure came with no stand to use. Poor Gandalf looks a little drunk leaning against my cube at work! I should have just left him in the box!

I recently purchased this figure of Gandalf for a gift. It is one of the nicest 12" figures I've seen in a long time: the attention to the details of the face, the way the robe falls on the figure's body. This is definitely an item that will be worth much more than what it costs today in a few years time. Note: can't determine much about the item's durability. It's too soon to know, really.

This is a must have figure for any Hobbit or Lord of the Rings fan.

Gandalf sports a wonderful dull grey cloak and robe tied by a brown, corded, rope belt. He has a long curly grey beard and pointy grey hat. He comes with his staff and sword and knapsack too.

A wonderful figure, definitely directed towards the Collector's market. This figure also bears a great resemblence towards the actor portraying this character; more so than the Arwen or Frodo figure.
