The string books are completely compatible with each other and can be played together or as solos. Due to level considerations, the string books are not compatible with the books in the wind series. My son is a 4th year cello player. He loves this book and CD. The CD is worth the price actually. It has a separate book in the middle which is just for the cello and the outer book is both cello and piano. Awesome package!

my son loves the score and can sort of play it but his music teacher says its not scored correctly for the violin.
