Great models and units...but needs command models,

Something that continually boggels me about Games Workshop is why on earth they make one box set, with the same number and size of pieces, contain more USEFUL pieces in one box than another. Why? What possible benefit is this? Obviously, it's not encouraging anyone to buy more mdoels than they would normally, or they'd make ALL the boxes NOT include useful stuff. And it's not for consistency. So...?
These Minis Tirith knights are great models and great units. They look great when well-painted all lined-up with their little banners. My complaint is that above though: this box set does NOT include a captain (or pieces for one), or a banner-bearer or musician. All must be purchased metal, seperately. Why this is the case when all the NEW plastic cavalry sets (Morgul Knights, Knights of Dol Amroth, Galadhrim Knights) include all those pieces in the set. And this one isn't even any cheaper! |
