5.0 out of 5 stars Very cool Ringwraith, December 3, 2004

This review is from: Lord of the Rings - The Return of The King - Morgul Lord Witch King with Mace-Weilding Action (Toy)
This is a must have for people who collect LOR action figures. The figure is very well made. He is sturdy and stands up very well. He has his mace with him, which is very cool. Like the other reviewer said, his robes are so thick and stiff, they make it so he cannot do any action. They do, however, make him stand up well. Even without the action, he is a must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars He sure looks nice on the shelf.., August 7, 2004

For a collector, this toy is quite good. It is very detailed, and just looks darned cool. He has his mace, and his sword. You'll need this toy to complete the array of major characters from the Pellenor Fields battle in ROTK. (He fought with Eowyn, as if you could forget that awesome scene..)

But, while he is detailed and very nice looking, he has some problems.

1: His arms are too short.

2: He has some trouble standing.

3: His robes are awesome, but they render his button activated action feature completely innefectual. They get in the way. Plus, the mace is so heavy, and it is attached to a chain, so it hardly works anyway.

Nonetheless, this is one of the best looking LOTR action figures in my opinon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, June 20, 2011

Alright you can see what it looks like in the pictures so I won't try to describe it.

Just a couple things - the spikes on his helmet can break off if a kid plays with them a lot. It's just a few decorative parts of his armor that will break.

I would buy this just for the mace - BEWARE: the mace is solid plastic and really hurts if you swing into your knuckles or someone else's head (you won't be able to resist it).

One of my favorite action figures of all time, and I really don't like 95% of 'evil lookin' action figures.

4.0 out of 5 stars Witch king near perfect but, October 23, 2013

This review is from: Lord of the Rings - The Return of The King - Morgul Lord Witch King with Mace-Weilding Action (Toy)
Toy biz the witch king from lotr collection is near perfect. The detailing and overall look is impressive top my list for renditions of lotr toy creations and that is saying a lot when the majority of what toy biz produces in the lotr line are very good. But; trying to place mace and sword in the figures hand I found difficult to the point that I was afraid I might bend back or break fingers . Even when I was able to manipulate said fingers the look was somewhat awkward . It is possible that I may have to break in the fingers a bit for a few times before this can be done more easily. Iam not a regular toy figure expert just very interested in the lotr action line. My feelings regarding the problems with the figures fingers probably would not have stopped me from purchasing the witch king seeing as the figure despite that drawback is pretty fabulous. Hope this review is helpful.

As all the other figures of the collection, it is in very well made. The only problems I could notice with it are that, because of how detailed it is, it must be handed with some care (nevertheless, when it fell on the floor, it didn't get a single scratch, so it's not really fragile, just don't let it fall too much...)and it's a little hard to make it stand(but if you find the right position, it will stand still very well). So basically it's very good and the problems with it are really not a big deal. Besides, it's awesome, and who wouldn't want one of those?
