5.0 out of 5 stars "Send out your Warg Riders.", March 16, 2004

This review is from: Lord of the Rings Sharku with Warg Beast (Toy)
This is a nice set. Instead of galloping action that most beast and rider sets include, the Warg has chomping action instead. It can also be put into more poses than toys of horses and it looks great. Also to mention Sharku, a veteran of the Goblin Wars, this figure looks every bit as hideous as the character did in the film. Now, all we need is another set that comes with a Warg and just a basic Goblin rider, and we'll be good to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wrath of a Warg, May 27, 2004

This is an awesome toy! The warg rider Sharku is pretty neat. Some problems are that it is very difficult to position him on the warg. Also he isn't very durable. One time my sister took him and sqeezed him between the couch. When I found him his left hand broke off. Anyways Sharku is highly detailed and looks as ugly as he does in the movie. He also has leg moving and sword swinging action. The warg is really awesome. It is extremely detailed and almost fully possable. It has jaw-chomping action. The warg's head is covered in rubber so when its jaw chomps it looks really realistic. It also has a rubber tail and mane. The jaw is filled with teeth and is sticking out its tongue. This is a fantastic toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A scout!!, February 29, 2004

I got this deluxe beast & rider set at a semi-local Target store.
When I got home I opened it up and started unpacking it(there are over ten twist-ties to undo), then I brought it to my room to display with my other LOTR figures. The warg is, to put it bluntly,
FANTASTIC!! His jaw-chomping action works stupendously and looks quite realistic, especially since instead of hard plastic joints for the lower jaw and head, it has a layer of soft rubber on it.
The warg's fur and teath are very datailed and very realisticly painted, and with Sharku on him, he looks quite menacing.
Now for Sharku. I wasn't nearly so enamored with him. For though he is very movie accurate, I never really liked him. He comes with a really cool knife, and he has a knife-slashing action, which works well. What I didn't like about Sharku is he was always really stiff and I could move his arms and legs only with great difficulty, another thing was that his legs are almost entirely rubber. Sometimes it gets sticky if the tempature is to high and you can't pose him very easily on his own, and he kept falling off his warg. Another thing is, I don't know if it was only an error on my Sharku or what, but after I had displayed him for about two weeks, his knife-slashing hand got really loose. Overall, this is a pretty good rendition of sharku and his warg, though I would have liked it if Toy Biz either made a higher quality Sharku, or made a different Orc for the set.

5.0 out of 5 stars GET LOST IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT!, December 7, 2003

This might as well be the best Lotr toy deluxe beast and rider! The warg has authentic detail and a rubberish head and the moving jaw makes that more realistic than it starts out to be! Warg details and accessories: bloody detailed mouth, wet and shaggy fur detail, rubberish skin detail, poseable body, and chewing and moving jaw action. But there's the rider sharku too! Sharku details and accessories: knife, scars, metal blade stuck onto his forehead, knife slashing action, poseable body, rubber suit, real movie details, and great authentic look while on warg. I do admit it is a little rubberish, but mostly it's hard body parts. A must buy for every Lotr fan! I got this toy December seventh, and opened it as quick as I could and always knew it would be awsome. And it was!

I just got sharku today at a nearby [local] store. This toy has amazing detail so does the Warg. the one thing not so great about Sharku is that he doesn't sit on his warg right, but everything else on the toy is great Toybiz really out did themselves on this toy.Onething I wish Toybiz would do would be to make a new Orc to put on a Warg.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not very durable, April 15, 2004
A Kid's Review
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Lord of the Rings Sharku with Warg Beast (Toy)
I have nothing bad on this toy by how fun it is because it's really fun. The Warg beast is awesome and has jaw-chomping action. The jaw chomping action looks real because it's face is made of rubber, not plastic. It is very detailed. Sharku has a couple problems. He is almost impossible to get it to stay on the Warg. He also has knife-stabbing action, but the arm with the knife-stabbing action gets pretty loose sometimes. The best part of Sharku is that he is one of the most detailed Orc figures I've seen. My bottom line is that the Warg is awesome but they could have done better with Sharku.

This is a very good rider and beast set. One thing I like is that instead of the warg having that stupid galloping action, it has jaw biting action. The Sharku figure is cool but looks nothing like the one in the movie. I still think this is an awesome set just because I liked how the wargs were in the movie. The warg looks just the same as in the TT. Sharku could use a little work on the face but I still think it is and awesome figure. Sharku also has knife-slashing action.

ry good

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharku and Warg, June 16, 2004
By A Customer
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Lord of the Rings Sharku with Warg Beast (Toy)
First of all, I would like to say that this is one of the best villian action figure around. It's definately a must for collectors. I gave this figure set a 5 for fun because there are so many things that you can do with them. I gave this toy a 4 for educational value because it encourages kids to read the books. I gave this set a 3 for durability because Sharku does not stand easily. because of his rubber feet, it's hard to keep him balanced. Also, his hands aren't very durable, they have a tendancy to break off. It's not very easy to keep him on the Warg, which is very realistic but sometimes his front legs tend to not stay in the position where you want them. But overall this is a very good figure set and I highly recommend it to any collector.
