The Armored Troll figure is so far one of the biggest Lord of the Rings figures available. I just picked this huge "hulking" sucker up and I must tell you it's awesome. If only the same guys at ToyBiz went the route of the LOTR figures and made a HULK figure with the detail and size that the Troll has, it would have been one of the best Marvel figures ever made. This figure is just awesome, the box is great. It's display is perfect for any collector, for the kid in all of us this is one durable toy and so very fun to play with. I'm planning on buying 2 more to open so I can re-create the scene from the Two Towers at the black gates of Mordor, when the 2 Trolls were being forced to open the gate doors for the Easterling army.

Get this figure, get 2 or 3... You won't be disapointed. It's so awesome seeing this huge figure overshadowing the smaller 6" figures from the same line. Just AWESOME!

This Figure is just plain awesome. It towers over all the other figures, except of coures my 14" Treebeard. But he still manages to look threatening, even next to Treebeard.
It is so awesome, I love the rubber texture of his skin, and the details are amazing. He lacks articulation, but how nimble were the movie trolls? The details on his teeth and rotting gums are fantastic, you can almost smell his horrid breath. I love it.
A word of caution to collectors:
This is a popular Amazon.com item, and the condition you get might be lacking. After waiting almost two months for mine, it finally arrived, and the box was damaged. Not just dinged up but DAMAGED. The corners were in very poor shape, and the plastic on the front had a huge gaping hole in it. So much that I could start to remove the figure from the inner packaging through it. Fortunately I wanted to open this sucker up, and get him out of the box as fast as I could. I was so excited he'd finally arrived.
But other than that I have no complaints. He does require 1 AA battery, not included.
He stands all on his own, with no manipulation what so ever. I still haven't found a pose that can make him fall over.
The helmet is even removeable. Get this guy and you will see what a truly great piece this is. I bought it based soley on Amazon's picture, and let me tell you, the picture doesn't come even close to giving it justice.
I absolutely love this toy.
It is one of my three favorite LOTR Figures. The Best Three are Sauron 10", Treebeard 14", and this beauty. I promise you, any LOTR Fan will not be disappointed in this excellent figure.
