This review is from: Lord of the Rings Trilogy ROTK Bilingual Action Figure Pippin in Armor (Toy)
Above all else, I am amazed at the detail that is in this figure. The White Tree embroidered on his armour, his helmet, engraved with Gondorian designs, even his dirty feet; they all contain such an immense amount of detail and accuracy to the movie. The likeness could be slightly better, but it is actually much more accurate than some other figures. My only problems may be that the sword seems slightly fragile, and the 'sword-slashing action' is a bit weak. But do not let those points hinder you! This is an excellent buy for anyone interested in the Lord of the Rings, or for a excellently made figure.

Before I even opened the package, I was immediately struck by the immense detail that this toy held. The White Tree on his armour is extremely intricate and very accurate to the movie and book description. He has a belt which holds his pack and sheath, all of which are very well made. The engraving on the helmet is also very detailed and accurate, just like the whole toy. The likeness is excellent though, as another reviewer mentioned, seemed more circular than is natural. The feet, which are dirtier than before, are very stable, and Pippin can be put into many different poses. My only problem, and it may only be for mine, is that the paint on the sword seems to chip off whien the sword is bent. Overall, though, this is an excellent, excellent figure, and a worthy addition to any Lord of the Rings collection.

This review is from: Lord of the Rings Trilogy ROTK Bilingual Action Figure Pippin in Armor (Toy)
As a small and simple hobbit out of the Shire, you'd think that Peregrin Took would have no place in the affairs of knights of Gondor, or wizards, or elves. Yet by choosing to go along with Frodo on his Quest, Pippin finds himself strung along in a series of events beyond his control. Taken by Gandalf to Minas Tirith, the City of Kings, Pippin offers his service as a knight of Gondor to the city's Steward, partially in recompense for the death of Boromir, Denethor's son, in Pippin's defense. Pippin soon proves his valor is not proportionate to his size in the battle of Gondor! Pippin comes with entirely different garb than we've seen in any other figures: a tunic with the White Tree of Gondor emblazoned on it, chain mail, and a small sword such as the soldiers of the White Tower carry. He wears his Elven cloak with its leaf-shaped Lorien brooch, and he comes with a rather over-sized helmet. (It's supposed to be that way - Gondor doesn't have hobbit-sized helmets!) His belt also has a pouch on the right side. His li'l hobbit feet are still bare, and fortunately, the figure's ability to remain on his feet is happily satisfactory. My only complaint is with the head. It's the same head as is with all the other figures, and it's kind of hunched up and too round and chubby. It gives the impression that Pippin is either hunching his shoulders, or has absolutely no neck whatsoever. The facial accuracy could also be better, but nevertheless, I'm going to recommend this figure to you, because it reflects a very cool string of events in the third and final movie in the Lord of the Rings motion picture series. ...
