Region 3 Deltamac release from Taiwan. This is an extemely limited promo item-only 2000 were produced. The set includes a pack of LOTR playing cards inside of a drawstring pouch and is housed in a real wood box.

This is by far the best LOTR box set. It contains the same extended versions as the US set but is housed in a wooden box, lined with black velvet (the inner box is the same as the US version) It also includes a deck of LOTR playing cards inside a drawstring pouch. This item was not meant to be sold outside of Taiwan so copies are very hard to come by. If you have a multi region player and are a die hard fan, this is the set for you.

The slipcase has a nice easy touch with the 'window' so you can see the engraving on the box. There is a beautiful art on the slipcase - pictures of every character from the trilogy.

THE most detailed box you've ever seen. Engraved on the lid is 'The Lord of the Rings, The Motion Picture Trilogy, Relive the Journey on DVD'. Around the lid and the bottom plate there is a nice pattern that goes all the way around the box, and right below the top plate on the box there is a metal and there is also a pattern that goes all the way around the box. Extremely wonderful details.

You'll find the famous New Line Cinema and Deltamac logos printed in black, and further down you find the text: '*Promotional use only, not for sale*'.

The inside is covered in a black velour imitation, on the back of the lid again we see the text 'The Lord of the Rings - The Motion Picture Trilogy' printed onto the velour-imitation in gold. The lovely slipcover holds the 3 Extended Edition 12 DVDs.

A beauty bag with the LOTR text printed in gold, containing playing cards is also included.

This IS a very hard-to-find edition. This set probably will get harder and harder to find. Get yours now while you can. This is obviously for the die-hard LOTR Trilogy movies fan.
