5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderfully inspiring book for everyone!
Rev. Elder Troy Perry wrote this book prior to the inclusive language movement. Were he to write it today he would employ it. It remains an inspiring book for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people regardless of their spiritual beliefs. It is also a wonderful example of Christian faith and devotion in action regardless of one's sexual orientation.
A must read!

Even allowing for Christian charity this is a poor effort. It has no literary flair at all but instead reads like it was dictated and typed up with little if no editing.

I don't get The Reverend Perry's take on Christianity at all - and I dearly wanted to. As a former member of the Born-Again Brigade and gay myself, I had hoped for some insight. Alas, he just...

Alas, he just comes across as someone with a lack of self awareness and his grasp of theology strikes me as naive at best. I wish I could be more generous but I can't.

If you're looking for a book with insight and integrity on this theme then I'd suggest Mel White's "Stranger At The Gate". Otherwise your dollars would be better donated to charity than to buying this waffle.
