This review is from: Lord Stephen's Lady (Paperback)
I have a few "feel good" romances that I like to read over and over, usually when life has been a little difficult. Lord Stephen's Lady is one of those novels. In the novel, Georgiana Cartwright and her brother and sisters find themselves fallen on hard times, and Georgiana worries that she will not keep her little family together much longer. Lord Stephen Sharington is a taciturn Earl who owes a debt of gratitude to Georgiana's late father. When he sees that the family is destitute, he demands that Georgiana marry him, and, really, what choice does she have? Lady Georgiana and her siblings arrive at the Earl's estate to find that the Earl is the father to a very lonely little boy, and that all is not as it seems. The Earl's late wife was found in compromising circumstances, and Lord Stephen guards himself against love and any real parental involvement. The question is, can love grow from such circumstances? Can Georgiana and her intrepid little family change the rather grim Earl and bring happiness to one little boy? Well, it is a Silhouette romance, so the answer is probably a given. However, the way the whole story plays out is charming. I loved Georgiana, and I loved this story. Obviously. I hope it comes out on Kindle sometime soon. My copy is literally falling apart.
