On the outer edges of Mongolia, in the mountains around Lake Khovsgol, live a handful of men and women for whom the reindeer is everything. They are called the Tsaatan. They move about on the reindeer's back, drink their milk, eat their meat, sell their antlers and cover themselves with their hides. The Tsaatan are nomadic and only a hundred of them remain. They live a hard life, but they know it is the price they must pay for their freedom.
