This review is from: The Lords of Avaris (Hardcover)
Avaris is one of the delta Nile towns on the eastern side of Egypt just east of what they called Goshen. Interesting to see how many "layers" of people from the East were there for awhile and evidence for how they interacted. The archeological data and pictures is/are just amazing and his "new" dating chronology helps it all make more sense. So many fine details if you want that; good summary boxes ever so often also; just never seen so much documentation for ancient history of the whole Mediterranean area. Much has been discovered in recent years.
