Great, Straight-forward, and Biblical
This is a great study. I think one of the other reviewers got their star ratings mixed up, but this is great. The emphasis is NOT on weight loss, but rather disciplining yourself when it comes to food. A natural result is usually weight loss (I've been pleased with my results) however. This is a great study. I think one of the other reviewers got their star ratings mixed up, but this is great.

I did this study on line at Setting Captives Free. The book is the same as the online study. You can do them both together. The online study puts you with a mentor. It is free. This Bible study hits some very core issues.

I purchased this book to help lead a group (starting soon), however, I have been working through the workbook for 17 days now and actually used the leader guide yesterday as I was doing the devotion.
After using this leader guide, I was better able to understand what the devotion for that day was trying to tell me. So, even if you don't plan to have a group or use the workbook in a group, the leader guide does give more insight and even some clarification (if you need it) to the teachings within the workbook. A very handy extra to the already fantastic Setting Captive's Free program.

I was very disappointed with this study.
In my opinion, this study is geared toward people with eating disorders such as anorexia or bulemia, not to people who overeat. big difference! |
