2.0 out of 5 stars My favoritie character is a flop!
Prince Falke was my favorite character in the initial Var novel of this series (the Savage King). I looked forward to this novel-- only to discover that again, for the third time, Pillow slaps together two characters and forces them to have sex withotu bothering with silly things like emotions, desire and dialog.

Surprise, at first glace the two are love...

This review is from: Lords of the Var: The Bound Prince (Book 3) (Paperback)
Samantha Dorsey (Princess Xantha) captain of the ship and her crew who were all at least half human, get really drunk during a card game, then go down to the planet they were passing by in order to collect the last thing they needed for a Galactic Scavenger Hunt which was a primitive wild beast, if they win they get to claim the prize money they need so much. Prince Falke, commander of the Var Armies just happens to be in cat form when they come across him, he wakes up on her ship. All the charaters are interesting, the plot was good and the romance was hot. I enjoyed this book very much, read it in one day.

Wonderful erotic futuristic fiction with delightful power plays between petite, daring female (with special gift to heal) and a huge hardened shifter-warrior. Great plot, fun characters. Highly recommended.

(REAL NAME)
Although it's been a while since I read this one I will always remember it fondly. The female lead (Sam) is a smart, tomboyish and definitely fun character who does something I could absolutely see myself doing: entering a contest for collecting a weird or original list of items that include live ones, getting drunk, taking her buds partying on a planet and picking up the most dangerous animal out there who turns out to be even more dangerous as a man. Sam is so much fun that I really wish I had a best bud like her (mine can be stuffy at times, heh).

Michelle's leading men are some you'd really like to know for who they are as well as how they love. They're a bit more real and not so perfect as those created by many authors. Those men may be your heart's dream, but Michelle's are men you couldn't resist, warts & all.

I think I have everything Michelle Pillow has written because I check frequently to make darn sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best so far!!!, July 13, 2008

This review is from: Lords of the Var: The Bound Prince (Book 3) (Paperback)
Lords of the Var: The Bound Prince (Book 3)

Out on a scavenger hunt, Captain Sam and her crew sought out for the last of the pieces to the hunt. They land on Qurilixan and stumble upon a white tiger, not knowing it is a shapeshifter Prince.

Time goes on on her ship and of course the sex between them heightens. Somehow the crew and captain have to figure out how to get Prince Falke back to his home planet since they have no money or fuel. They have no choice but to stop to see her father, which was a very bad choice. I will not say what happens....

The scavenger hunt goes well when they turn in all of the items from the list. Falke's brother, as we know is a galaxy prince, was there as well and notices his brother as he is a tiger for one of the scavenger items. Yet again you will have to read to find out more....

They get to planet Qurilixen and the best is yet to become known!!

Another great series book. I laughed and cried. You will thoroughly love this read.

2.0 out of 5 stars My favoritie character is a flop!, March 6, 2007

This review is from: Lords of the Var: The Bound Prince (Book 3) (Paperback)
Prince Falke was my favorite character in the initial Var novel of this series (the Savage King). I looked forward to this novel-- only to discover that again, for the third time, Pillow slaps together two characters and forces them to have sex withotu bothering with silly things like emotions, desire and dialog.

Surprise, at first glace the two are love struck and hot and horney. No need to build respect, love or even desire. Its enough for Pillow just to have her characters see each other to know sex is a forgone conclusion.

Falke transforms just as his perviously novelized brothers from an interestign character to a dud within two chapters. What starts out as a fun read quickly progresses to dull page turning only quickened by searching for the sex scenes--which lack as well.

Save your money and read her stand alone novels...
