Book Description

August 21, 2009
In the vein of Watership Down, American coauthors Brooke and Robert Jones turn to a futuristic world of rabbits and hares in Lore of Leporine: The Curse from the City. This fantastically sublime heroic fantasy novel follows one especially sly and candid rabbit hero after he awakens from a fourteen-month coma. It is then he realizes that the world has changed forever. As Perduxi Warren, a contentious group of rebel rabbits led by Queen Scela, holds him captive without cause or provocation, he learns that humans have been wiped out and intellectually mutated rabbits rule the earth. It is further unveiled to him that he is the key to an insidious plot that threatens to wipeout his own species. With a quick-moving and engaging prose and chapter titles such as “Festival of Chaos,” “De Rescate,” “Motivating the Masses,” and “Close to the Enemy,” the coauthors mark a bold path that shows that with the might of a lone rabbit, the future still looks bright.

I have always loved fantasy of any sort. I am usually disappointed by anything new I try to get into, but I was happily surprised when I found this book by accident. Not only is the story line endearing and unique, but the illustrations are by themselves captivating. I would most definitely recommend this book to any fantasy lovers out there!

This book was a gift, a very special gift that I enjoyed reading and am looking forward to reading the second one, which I hear is in process.

I'm not a great psy-fi fan, usually, but this one took me by surprise in a very exciting way. I really got into the story and enjoyed the journey from beginning to end.

Each chapter has a unique beginning with the chapter number hidden within the graphic. It entices you to take a good look at the picture, to find the hidden number and to think about what you're reading and how it relates to today's world. You gotta read this book and RELATE.Lore Of Leporine: The Curse From The City

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lore Of Leporine: The Curse From The City (Paperback)
This was a fantastic book both of my kids loved it and I myself was caught up in the story. I was hesitant after reading the product description but I am extremely happy that I ignored that thought and purchased this book. The only problem is now both my children are moaning about how long till the next book. :) Definitely worth the read !
