From Library Journal
Morella and Epstein add another "star biography" to their list of credits with this chronicle of Youngan enduring, successful actress of film, radio, and TV. According to the authors, Young has been labeled a "saint" by some, the "steel butterfly" and a "chocolated-covered black widow spider" by others who have known her intimately. The authors secured "exclusive interviews" with Young's ex-husband, Ted Lewis, and use a plethora of quotable material from secondary sources. Although this biography is rather fawning and cliched, it does present some interesting background on the Hollywood star system from the 1920s to the 1950s and the beginnings and height of the television era.
