4.0 out of 5 stars Works pretty well.
I purchased these to add a couple of extra cameras to my existing system. I only had 1 video channel left on my DVR and this worked out great since it only takes up one channel and will switch back and forth between the cameras. Video signal is very good so far. Cameras are indoors, going through 3 walls and about 75' from the receiver. I'm very happy with them so far.

3.0 out of 5 stars lorex camera
This is a good system, but do not expect the night vision capability to be that great. It does have a very sensitive mic. The distance from receiver is also key. Overall, it is good, especially for daytime use. Night use was a bit disappointing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Will not recommend this product, July 13, 2011

I thought that my reception will be decent; however my reception from 20 feet away was awful with open space and only one wall in between. That's why I will not recommend this product.
PS. the return to Amazon was a breeze!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Signal conflict, July 7, 2011

The cameras are NOT really applicable for out door use. they are weather resistant but cannot be exposed to rain, go figure.
The signal interupted a baby monitor in our building, the tenant complained his monitor was picking up the picture from the camera not the babys room.
The frequency could not be changed so this system is usless to us, the picture quality and noise has much to be desired.

2.0 out of 5 stars Defective Unit - lasted 2 days, December 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lorex LW1012 2-Camera Color Wireless Surveillance System with Indoor/Outdoor Night Vision Capability (Black) (Electronics)
I got this to put in my kids' rooms. I read the mixed reviews and decided to give it a shot.

At first, I loved the cameras. We live in a two story house. The kids' rooms are upstairs and the TV we wanted to see them on is downstairs. The installation was quick and easy. I had it all done in the matter of 15 minutes. At night, we were very pleased with the night vision. In my opinion, the night video was good enough to see the kid walking around the room. I couldn't read the titles of books that were lying on the floor, but I didn't expect to. We had no interference with the wireless; which surprised me since we have WiFi, cell phones, and cordless phones in the house.

On the second day, I noticed interference with one of the cameras. I went upstairs, attempted to adjust the camera in hopes of getting better reception. When I went to move it, i noticed it was hot....much hotter than the working camera. When I went to watch the video, I noticed that the flicker that i thought was interference was really the camera going from night/day mode. It was flicking between the two modes so fast that it looked like interference. On the fourth day (today) i noticed that the bad camera had stopped flickering. I thought that it had fixed itself (I know, they rarely do). Sure enough, at night I couldn't see in the room with that camera. The night vision is gone.

I have submitted my 'return' request with Amazon. Amazon has a great return policy. I've only had to use it a handful of times, and this is one of them. I hope I just got a defective unit, but from reading other reviews (and talks of the hot camera), I'm beginning to think that there's a product issue. The other camera worked just fine, so maybe they had a bad lot? Or maybe that second one would have eventually failed too.

If you do buy this camera set, save your box and receipt. You just might need it to return it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok for room to room use, October 24, 2011

When looking at a camera I was looking for one that could be used outside meaning it would have to go through some walls. This camera to find out really was best only a very short distance and just did not do the trick for what our needs where.

I am happy with this unit. Wireless range is good, picture is good, night vision is ok. Having a build in microphone and battery option makes them even better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Camera Buy!, March 20, 2011

These cameras provide, for the price, outstanding video output. I have used a Pinnacle Studio 14 video converter to feed the images to my computer where they are recorded for later viewing. If there are no issues, I delete the video and start over in order to preserve hard drive space. I would definitely recommend these cameras for anyone who needs security, but does not require a high tech system.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lorex LW 1012 Camera System, November 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lorex LW1012 2-Camera Color Wireless Surveillance System with Indoor/Outdoor Night Vision Capability (Black) (Electronics)
I'm not impressed with this system. The range is terrible and even at really close range (side by side) the picture quality isn't as good as it should be. I've moved the camera and the receiver around and have not gotten good reception anywhere in the house. I tried to integrate this camera system into my Lorex wired system and even when I could get it to work good, I can't access the wireless camera from the internet. the other cameras work fine. I like my wired Lorex system better than any other system I've tried but I think this wireless sytem is a waste of money.
