I bought the 2 camera system and this camera is Super! Yes you have to run a wire to power it (Duh!). But the signal is sent via 2.4ghz. RF (the wireless part). You can mount the little DVR anywhere that you can get reception. I have mine down in the Den next to my recliner, but, you can move it easily if you need to monitor from, say, the kitchen. The two way "intercom" is nice to have!

If you need power outage protection, you will need to install a ups power outlet for each camera (use one for a computer and hook the camera supply into the outlet from the ups)

I set up the system and installed 2 cameras in an afternoon without any stress. It did take a little planning, but, it was really straightforward.

It is a lot cheaper than the multi thousand dollar systems. And the pictures (even after dark) are spectacular!

I have this up and running for one month and it is great...the picture quality is good, sound quality good, and night vision is good, I would buy this again..A+

These cameras have a fatal weak link. The power cable is underrated. It breaks easily and cannot be repaired because of its small size. Since the cable is hardwired to the camera, it cannot even be replaced. Worked okay until the power cable gave out after just 5 months. Now dead/useless.

Easy to install, I am using 3 of these for my front door, back yard and garage.
Night view is pretty clear, the warning signal buzz even a cat walked around my doorway at night.

But you do need a electricity outlet for the power.

This my 3rd camera and works . Interference free , no problem with my wifi network and no problem with my cordless phones . I recomend

Wow. Great camera. I have four now, and I love the system. I excellent sound quality, which surprised me. Be careful of recording audio, as its not legal in some states unless you have consent from one or both parties. I am an attorney and have seen this issue backfire on a business who just wanted to protect its staff and customers. Businesses have been sued for recording audio of their employees, even on accident. Make sure to consult an attorney if you are a business and you are recording or using the audio function. In WV, we had a case were a hotel setup a system with audio. There was no evidence anything was recorded. One camera was in the pool area. The plaintiff made a big deal about the camera pointing at the hot tub (where people sometimes get romantic) and the jury got ticked off. 500,000 verdict against the business. BE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS.

I've been on this planet a very long time and this companies customer service for warranty service is the worst I've experienced in my whole life. Wait time is worst than a root canal.

I purchased the 2 camera set with 9 inch monitor as a package, and needed the extra camera. This was easy to set up once you knew where to place them and had a power (120 V plug in) nearby. I had to drill a small hole through the brick and thru the exterior wall which was near and aligned up with camera, had plenty of Ac cord, mounted the camera under the front porch up in a corner and pointed it toward the front door, the camera is awesome, picks up video well and audio is excellent, the only issue is that i can have a red shirt on and it will not show the correct color, although it compensates other ways, seems pretty sturdy and well made. I would recommend but would not place it outside uncovered in the rain.

I bought two of these to add-on to my system by Lorex! Thanks Lorex! Price right and keeps me safe feeling instead of in the poor house by other systems.

Overall not a bad Camera!
I have it now for a couple of months. The black color is not black anymore.
the resulution is not what you see on pictures! I have 3 of them and then a 16 GB chip is just enough for 24 hours of recording!
Recording stops very often because the overrite funtion of the chip stops it! After formating the chip again it works fine until next stop after a couple of days! I would like to lower the voice at night, but I can't. So think about when you set up the system, where you put it! The lighted Monitor is a problem at night too!
