Amazon.com Product Description

The Lorex VS6428 2.4 GHz 4-channel Wireless Video Sender lets you easily and instantly upgrade your existing video system by adding wireless capability. The VS6428 system comprises two units that send and receive clear video and stereo-audio wirelessly from one-to-another via their built-in dipole antenna. This system includes convenient features such as a 300-foot wireless transmission distance (in open spaces), and the ability to view video from a separate room. The Lorex VS6428 is a great option for sending a digital video signal to a second TV from a satellite, DVD or security camera when running cable is not an option.

The Lorex VS6428 wireless system operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency and features a four-channel selection for the sender-unit that allows you to connect up to four video devices simultaneously without signal interference. The VS6428 sender includes a built-in RF (radio frequency) FM modulator, while both units run on nine-volt DC adapters, and have operating temperatures of -10 to 50 degrees Celsius. The VS6428 wireless sender and receiver easily connect to video devices and standard TVs and VCRs via included RCA audio/video cables, although the receiver alone has an additional coaxial cable connector. Identical in their shape, the sender and receiver units are both approximately 5.25 x 1.5 inches (diameter x depth) in dimension.

What's in the Box
Wireless receiver, wireless transmitter, 2 AC adapters, 2 RCA A/V cables, coaxial cable, and owner's manual.

3.0 out of 5 stars Did the job, April 13, 2006

Donny Boy (Baltimore, MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lorex VS-6428 2.4 GHz 4-channel Wireless Video Sender (Electronics)
I needed to feed two (2) TV sets from a camcorder which was taping a discourse. The TVs were located downstairs in 2 separate rooms while the camcorder was running upstairs in the main auditorium. The distance was definitely less than 100 ft. Initially, when we set this up to test, the picture on the TV screens was clear with no static. However, when the attendees for the discourse began to fill the building, the TVs started to flicker and static. Once everyone settled, the picture seemed to stabalize and the guests could see most of the discourse clearly on the TV.

To summarize my experience...the transimitter/receiver did the job and setup was incredibly easy. However, it was an inconvenience for me to have to purchase 2 sets of the transmitter/receiver just to get an additional receiver. Lorex doesn't sell this separately. Don't ask me why? Other vendors that I researched do.

This thing doesn't work at all, It doesn't broadcast the signal 12 feet away with no walls. I think wireless internet and wireless phones are afecting the signal. Anyway do not waste your money like I did!!

4.0 out of 5 stars not too bad, April 29, 2006

I used it to run a signal from my Directv to the garage for use on a small television about 50 feet away. It does a great job, a little bit of static every now and then. It was easier than running a cable and probably cost a lot less.
