4.0 out of 5 stars not too bad
I used it to run a signal from my Directv to the garage for use on a small television about 50 feet away. It does a great job, a little bit of static every now and then. It was easier than running a cable and probably cost a lot less.

I needed to feed two (2) TV sets from a camcorder which was taping a discourse. The TVs were located downstairs in 2 separate rooms while the camcorder was running upstairs in the main auditorium. The distance was definitely less than 100 ft. Initially, when we set this up to test, the picture on the TV screens was clear with no static. However, when the attendees for the discourse began to fill the building, the TVs started to flicker and static. Once everyone settled, the picture seemed to stabalize and the guests could see most of the discourse clearly on the TV.

To summarize my experience...the transimitter/receiver did the job and setup was incredibly easy. However, it was an inconvenience for me to have to purchase 2 sets of the transmitter/receiver just to get an additional receiver. Lorex doesn't sell this separately. Don't ask me why? Other vendors that I researched do.

This thing doesn't work at all, It doesn't broadcast the signal 12 feet away with no walls. I think wireless internet and wireless phones are afecting the signal. Anyway do not waste your money like I did!!

static. Would buy again...

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Bad, August 3, 2005
This review is from: Lorex VS-6428 2.4 GHz 4-channel Wireless Video Sender (Electronics)
This thing is very marginal.
I am sending audio less than 10 feet away thru a staircase with 2 walls. Positioning antennas for the best possible reception it's merely tolerable (because the audio is being piped to outdoor speakers where sound reproduction isn't as picky).

Video is not watchable but luckily I only need the audio.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, August 22, 2005
This review is from: Lorex VS-6428 2.4 GHz 4-channel Wireless Video Sender (Electronics)
I was highly disappointed. I plugged Transmitter into my Satellite receiver and the reciever into my Television in my Den, less than 8 feet away and 1 wall between them. The picture had static and the sound was squelching. Tried and tried to adjust and could not get it to come in. I have purchased another unit similar in nature and plugged in and worked immediately, no adjusting at all.

It seemed like such a good idea! Unfortunately, when I got it, it didn't work as expected. I hooked it up to my DirecTV box and hooked the other end to a TV in the same room (about 12 feet away). The 2 units were pointing directly at each other. I was using the a/v connectors, and not the cable connector. The picture was satisfactory, but the sound was obscured by hissing. Although it has 4 channels to choose from, none proved to fix the problem. I do not recommend buying this.

It works as claimed but not through more than one wall if metallic studs are involved.

2.0 out of 5 stars works well under Ideal conditions, November 27, 2007
This review is from: Lorex VS-6428 2.4 GHz 4-channel Wireless Video Sender (Electronics)
If you have a clear line of sight not over 50 feet this device works well. However if over 50 feet and have to broadcast through walls its performance degrades rapidly.
