Setting up the LIVE SD9 is fast and easy. Just mount and plug in the cameras, plug in the LCD monitor/receiver, and you're done! The cameras can be installed indoors or outdoors and are automatically paired with the LCD monitor for fast, hassle-free setup.

The LIVE SD9 Wireless Digital Security System offers more than just wireless monitoring. It features an integrated SD card recorder! Record single channel audio and video directly to the the included SD card. On-screen icons tell you when you have a new file on the SD card, or when the SD card is full. You can view and manage recorded files directly on the system!

Wireless security cameras with night vision and motion detection
Never miss a thing with the included day/night indoor/outdoor wireless security cameras. With an indoor wireless range of 150 feet and an outdoor range of 450 feet, these security cameras are perfect for any recording environment. The wireless signal is 100% secure and interference-free. Automatic night vision lets you see up to 40 feet in total darkness. Last but not least, the cameras also come equipped with temperature-based motion sensors. The LIVE SD9 will record if one of the cameras is triggered by a subject giving off heat, such as a person, animal, or vehicle.
Picture Frame simulation for discreet monitoring
Enjoy discreet video security with the system's unique digital picture frame simulation (Screen Saver mode). With Screen Saver mode enabled, the LCD screen displays one of five pre-loaded scenic images, simulating a digital picture frame. When motion is detected by one of the cameras, the system starts recording and the LCD screen displays live video from the triggered camera.

I've been trying since the 1st week in January to resolve an issue with a camera which quit working. I've done EVERYTHING Lorex has asked of me, easter egged with Tech support for hours, finally got them to agree the camera was defective, faxed my receipt to Lorex, paid $14 to ship THEIR defective product back to them, they've had the defective camera for nearly 2 weeks now and I cannot get an answer back as to when, if ever, I will get my replacement shipped back to me. Worst customer service in the world. Go ahead and buy from Lorex if you must but you better pray your product never breaks because you will eat the cost.

I bought this unit Aug 2, 2010. I bought a new ,Monitor for this unit. The unit worked properly for 10 days before failing to transfer to the monitor. After several weeks of trying to find the problem I tried contacting Lorex. This required 4 E mail. They asked me to try several tests with no results. They agreed to replace the receiver and their requirements are quite a chore. The replacement did not work at all. This was reported to Lorex Their service dept.contacted me and said he would get back to me over 30 days ago. I have 3 other units that work properly through this monitor. In reading feedback on Lorex several others have had the same problem and get no response from Lorex. I do not recommend this firm.

So far I am pleased with my purchase. All the parts were included, also there was a quick start guide that was very clear and helped me set up the cameras. Everything seems to be working fine so far. It was very easy to set up.
This set was bought to monitor the area around my garage in the back yard and both cameras are able to transmit the distances that were advertised. One of the cameras is a good 350-400 feet away and the signal is still coming in strong to a room at the other side of our home.
A bonus was the audio portion of this camera system. (My other half might not think so). While we were deciding where we would point the camera I was able to watch the monitor inside the house where it would be set up and could direct him to raise, lower or turn the camera one way or the other for the best view. We will also be able to contact each other via the intercom system in the future should we need to.
We were looking at the cheaper model that did not transmit a live picture but this set went on sale during the holidays for just a little more money and we were able to get free shipping too. I like that we can use a SD card because with an older system that we had it was difficult to download and make a copy of a video that captured someone roaming around in our back yard one evening. With the SD card I can print out the best shot on my printer to show the neighbors and the police.
Barring any problems down the road and any difficulties with customer service like the other reviewer made comment about I would recommend this system to my friends.

I know it's a cheap system but come on!

Bad resulutions and cheap display.
