The cookies themselves are somewhat plain compared to what you might think of when you see the word "cookies." They don't have any candy chips, any chocolate coating, not even any raisins or nuts. Instead, Lorna Doone's are good old fashioned shortbread cookies - adult cookies that taste great with coffee or tea - not overwhelmingly sweet, and certain to please any palate.
These are very good cookies, ones that you will not mind setting out for guests of any age or taste.
If you've never had these cookies before they took out the butter, then you'll think they're tasty and crunchy. Fact is, you're missing on a whole world of taste. I hope I find another alternative. Any suggestions?
These cookies are really good, especially with coffee. They have a buttery flavor, and they're not too sweet. I originally bought them for my daughter--she loves them. But I really like them too.
