Ana Belen has one of the most beautiful, rich voices in Spain. This album is extremely well crafted with excellent arrangements by a superb jazz band. With this album she explores new musical avenues through the merging of jazz, Spanish influences and poetry from one of Spain's greatest poets. Anyone that enjoys lyrical jazz sung by one of Spain's best vocalists will have a great time with this CD.

I bought this cassette two years ago on a trip to Spain. I had never owned anything by Ana Belen, but am a lover of the poetry of Garcia Lorca, so decided to take a chance. The cassette was brand new at the time and it caught my eye on display. I liked it so much, that when I got home, I ordered it on CD. (It was not available in the store in Spain on CD.) This CD has become hands down one of my all time favorites. It never leaves the CD player. Ana's soft voice lends itself beautifully to the interpretation of Garcia Lorca's poetry. The music includes the sounds of traditional Spanish folk music and always takes me back to my time spent in Spain. A truly amazing CD.

Excelente material, como todo lo de Ana Belen y en especial siendo autoria de Garcia lorca. Se lo recomiendo a los amantes del buen poema.

When I had visited the parador of Cadiz,Spain Andalucia,I met a pianist,his name Manolo. He was playing piano in that hotel. Because I didn't know much about Music Andalusia,I asked him to tell me Music Andalusia.He explained me "Garcia Lorca is famous poet, compositer and writer. He was killed in 1936 during civil war of spain at the age of 38. Ana Belen is acitve in recent years actress and singer." LORQUIANA means Ana Belen sings the songs of Garcia Lorca.

A great album. Thoughtful, sensitive, beautiful. God has given Ms Belen a beautiful and distinctive voice which she has developed. Now she should give thanks by singing some novenas or litanies to the saints or to Mary, the mother of God. What would happen if she teamed up with Radio Tarifa for an album? Thank you

I bought this album cold, knowing nothing about Ana Belen but remembering a song I had liked written by Garcia Lorca. This CD was a surprise and a treat. Lorca's little songs with elegant jazz arrangements and the crisp and delicate vocals of Ms. Belen... This is adult music, timeless, not trendy. A CD that will not grow tired.
