The soul of the tango!,
By Hiram Gomez Pardo (Valencia, Venezuela) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Los Amigos (Audio CD)
Oswaldo Pugliese incarnates the authentic and purest spirit of the Argentine tango . Pugliese conducts the orchestra with perfect domain of this difficult musical expression.
He literally suggests all the tonal fan of this gloomy universe , plowed of ancestral memories , missed loves , misfortunes , laments , broken illusions , nocturnal whimsicalness and brief affairs with the night butterflies . To listen the tango goes far beyond a simple acoustic experience . The tango somehow is a ghost nightmares loaded with memory specters about what it could have been and it never was . The well known female argentine film maker , Maria Luisa Bamberg told once : The tragedy of the Argentine people is that he is an European in Latin America and a Latin American in Europe . this lack of center is a fundamental ingredient to consider in this passionate musical genre . |
