Even those who aren't "fire-buffs" will love this book!,

Paul Ditzel is the undisputed Dean of Fire Service authors - and this is certainly his finest effort. It's a fabulous book for the coffee table or den. If you are a Firefighter (or ever dreamed of being one), this is your book. Even those who aren't "Fire Buffs" will fall in love with this book and Paul's writing style. You just can't put it down! I've read the book cover to cover three times, and still enjoy skimming through the hundreds of pictures and re-reading the often dramatic text. I got goosebumps as I "rode along" with Los Angeles Firefighters on some of their most harrowing adventures. Even if you have never been to Los Angeles, you'll learn of the city, its people - and the LAFD heroes that save us from disaster on an almost annual basis. One great read... and a bargain to boot! |
