5.0 out of 5 stars A comedy classic
One of best comedy records ever made, some of Cheech and Chong's best routines are here. Including "Pedro And The Man At The Drive-In", where they try to sneak a bunch of friends into the drive-in by staching them in the trunk and then not being able to get them out, this bit also features the hilarious pirate movie spoof where a crew member gets punished for...

3.0 out of 5 stars I admit some of it is funny...........
I admit some of this is funny but I was very spoiled by their first effort and Big Bambu. If you listen to those two albums before hearing this you get that some of Los Cochinos is sequel which some of the Big Bambu is to the first effort. Guess I had grown weary of the rehash.

For some reason I didnt think basketball jones was funny. And the sister Mary...

The classic "Basketball Jones" is also on this album. One of C&C's best albums(and a Grammy winner too! ). This one still makes me laugh out loud.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Pot Head Humor by the Masters, August 20, 1998
This review is from: Los Cochinos (Audio CD)
This album has a lot of very cool Cheech & Chong routines on it. They are classics of the genre, and much funnier than some of the stuff that shows up in their films.

My sister had it when she was in High School, and I used to borrow it. The vinyl album had a great pull out sleeve that showed all the hidden drugs in compartments in the VW Bug on the cover.

I recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of humor, wants a blast from the past (70s style), or just wants to check out Cheech Marin before he went 'respectable' and straight (drug-wise). I can't wait to listen to it again, this time on CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hey man, what's happinin, man!, December 18, 2008
This review is from: Los Cochinos (Audio CD)
Bought this on the same day we bought Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon.
A total classic, don't know how we ever got through school without it.
Lots of reviews here so no reason to add another. Just a personal touch.
No comedy collection can be without this, or the other two that came before this.
Listen to this alongside Alice Coopers, School's Out. You'll understand what we went through to get through school in the 70's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's talk about your record, September 19, 2000
This review is from: Los Cochinos (Audio CD)
I enjoy listening to the comedy routines on this CD. My favourite tracks features the great basketball player Tyrone Shoelaces, who does everything but sell popcorn during half-time. I love BASKETBALL JONES so much I am like a junkie. The song is like a song to me. ;D If you enjoy a good laugh, you will enjoy this CD.

3.0 out of 5 stars I admit some of it is funny..........., April 13, 2011
This review is from: Los Cochinos (Audio CD)

For some reason I didnt think basketball jones was funny. And the sister Mary Elephant trying to calm the class down was way overblown with students yelling in the background just to be yelling...........not so funny either.

I highly recommend the first two albums if you have not heard them........very funny and breakout material at the time, which may be the other reason for me giving three stars, Cheech and Chong were by now very well known and commercial at the time this album was released.

Its a cool album, man. The only semi-weak track would be "Up His Nose" everything else is hillarious. Possibly their best. "It is not, man. It is so, man. It is not, man. It is so, man. It is not, man."
