A strong effort with more Rumbleseat stylings for you to enjoy. Chuck Ragan is quickly becoming my favorite "I was punk but I tour with just an acoustic guitar now" singers. Him and Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio have made an honest go at doing more than just being in a punk band. I really enjoy that.
Quick word of warning about the album: I love it, but it is a live album. I enjoyed the excitement of the crowd, but I was hoping for a studio album. I don't think it says that anywhere on the CD.

It's all about the Live experience,

"Found" this artist when he opened up at a Social Distortion show I went to last year. Blew me away, I immediately had to pick up a CD of his at the Merch table. Unfortunately, it wasn't this one. Chuck Ragan's real strength is the rawness and passion that he sings with, that's what immediately hit me when I was watching him live. In "Feast or Famine", I found a more slick, produced studio experience...and his soul was lost. On this CD, which was recorded live a few years back, he just knocks it out of the park. His vocals strike me as a mix of Tom Waits and Mike Ness, and they're perfectly captured in this album...

This is a great cd from the guy from Hot Water Music. It's folky and has some great songs. I absolutely love it.
