5.0 out of 5 stars The Best W y Y Album to Date--Which is Saying a Lot! April 29, 2011
Format:Audio CD
This is Wisin y Yandel's best album to date, with La Revolución and the Los Extraterrestres coming in as close second and third, respectively. The album starts off banging hot with "Muévete," a rock-star-worthy pump-up jam, and then transcends into a non-stop hit fest that is going to keep Latin America's clubs, cars, and gyms energized for months to come. I'd say just about 20 of the 22 tracks are excellent, which is a large share of an unconventionally long Reggaeton album (admittedly, one of the misfires is 50 Cent's guest appearance, which just sounds misplaced). I've been listening to the album start to finish for about four weeks straight and still have not gotten tired of it, because the quality and complexity of the sound the duo is creating is superb. As always, W y Y maintain access to the most cutting-edge production quality in the Latin urban music world, with piercing treble highs to keep the ladies on the dance floor moving, and booming bass lows that will keep trucks hopping. The album features terrific guest appearances from De La Ghetto, Tego Calderón, Sean Kingston, and T-Pain, among others. My favorite tracks on the album, not in order, are as follows:

1) "Muévete"-Never before have W y Y created such an exciting and charging introduction track.
2) "Party"-If you can't dance to this track, then you can't dance, period.
3) "Zun Zun Rompiendo Caderas"-The album's lead single, so energetic, and boasting such an infectious drum pattern it may cause a fire on the dance floor.
4) "Suavecito Despacio"-The way the beat on this track changes multiple times, along with the jumping layout of its chimes and synths, is sure to make you addicted.

Format:Audio CD
Wisin y Yandel have been at the front of creative Reggaetoneros, and Los Vaqueros: El Regreso keeps them firmly there. The album was all that I had hoped for in an album by this duo--musical, tuneful, danceable, yet full of the rapid fire rhymes and humerous asides that mark their best tracks. The music veers from traditional Reggaeton rhythms to drum tracks that are more influenced by North American hip hop; both sit side by side comfortably. The raps in Spanish are delivered with the mix of humor and aggression that I love in this duo, but they don't forget to include interesting melody as well, and their choruses are often very catchy. They have a lot of fascinating references in the music, including a melodic tip of the hat to "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora. Really? Yes. And the more amazing thing--they make it sound natural and fascinating.

Reggaeton is something of an acquired taste--but if you have experienced the joy, the wild abandon, the life so evident in this style, if you have become enamored of the almost formalized machismo, this album is going to make you very happy. If you have never listened to Reggaeton, but you are a fan of Caribbean music, salsa, and hip hop, and like to move it move it, then you should give the style a chance, you should give Wisin y Yandel a chance, and you could do far worse than start here. Very recommended to the adventurous and the faithful.

: I've heard it over and over and over again...can't stop! I've truly enjoyed it and will continue to enjoy it. I love Wisin & Yandel anyway!

Not all 5 stars because there was a song or two with other artists that just were not my cup of tea. I would still have bought it anyway.

This alblum is the type of album you can just let play in your stereo. One of the best reggaeton albums I have purchased in a while and recommend it to my Boricua's needing some good reggaeton to jam out to. Ya Tu Sabe!

I'm a huge Wisin y Yandel fan. Yes, you've gotta love their names: Los Lideres, El Duo Dinamico, Los Extraterrestres, el Duo de la Historia, el Dream Team...whatever you call them, one thing for sure is that WY are leading el movimiento urbano. I have many CDs, including Pa'l Mundo and Revolucion. This one, my friends, is at the top of my list. Awesome music! Great lyrics! These guys were meant to do this together. "Los Vaqueros: El Regreso" esta en fuego papi! Hay que comprarlo hoy. Tiene muchos 'hits' y mis favoritos son "Zun Zun Rompiendo Caderas" y "Tu Olor." Of course, "Estoy Enamorado" is a great track as well. You will not be disappointed. Esto es de coleccion hermano...Boo!

Wisin Y Yandel do it again. Ever since Los Extraterrestres these guys keep bringing that fresh sound 2 Reggaeton and this album doesn't fall short of that, thanks 2 the beats and production found on this album. I just hope Wisin Y Yandel continue 2 stay humble and continue making great music each time around.
