Editorial Reviews

Review

"Unlike many books I've read that were written by doctors, this book makes sense. They teach you how dangerous gluten is and how our everyday grains are synonymous with the substance. This is a topic that needs to be learned, discussed, thought and known by every family."
- Dr. Richard Schmitt
"Lose the Gluten, Lose your Gut. Ditch the Grain, Save your Brain is a tremendous resource for healthcare providers and the general public alike. In this comprehensive book, Drs. Stephanie and Thomas Chaney have done a remarkable job of clearly explaining how gluten can create a wide variety of health problems."
- Dr. Jay S. Greenstein
"A for sure must read. You will be more aware, healthier and happier you have this information."
- Dr. Stephanie Higashi

5.0 out of 5 stars Eliminating Grain to Restore Health October 15, 2013
By Carol
Format:Kindle Edition
I have read several books on this subject. However, this book revealed information that was not in the other three books. It is worth reading. I can get ride of my eczema and allergies when I eliminate grains. I also, ended my migraine headaches.

I noticed when I stop eating all grains, including oatmeal, and rice I lose weight without much effort. Of course, sugars of any kind are a problem too. I obtain the best results when I follow Dr. Furhman's or Doug Kaufman's eating plan. Dr. Furham's diet is more vegetarian, but Doug Kaufman allows meat. Both work.

5.0 out of 5 stars It will change your Life! November 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
After following the Drs. Chaney plan of eating for one year now, my health is the best it is has been in years. I have Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease and have been following a gluten-free and dairy-free lifestyle and have never felt better. After one week of being gluten-free, the foggy brain and the listless lack of energy was gone, and I was back living life to the fullest. On the plus side the weight I had been carrying has almost effortlessly shed off. Give it a try and be back to your old self...or maybe even better! Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Eye Opening November 25, 2012
By Nina H
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very informative guide to understanding the impact gluten has on everyone (not just people with celiac) and the correlation between many diseases is shocking. The charts and diagrams are easy to understand and I particularly appreciate the recipe section using common ingredients. The Chaney's explain how we got to this point and where we are headed, convincing me of how important it is to be my own health advocate now more than ever and with this tool I can do that.
