5.0 out of 5 stars Great title!!
I bought this on the strength of its title, and also because it looks so damn sexy with its shiny gold and black cover. Maybe it's just me? Anyway it's not really about losing weight or getting laid or finding god, but about planning your life year by year. Examples: age 7: ask adults stupid questions, age 25 have a quarter life crisis, age 79 talk about the war, age 17:...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very amusing
I got this because I thought it would be funny--on the contrary, it is rather boring and not nearly as witty as I had imagined. The title indicates a tongue-in-cheek style of writing that was completely missing. I was disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great title!!, November 7, 2006
This review is from: Lose Weight! Get Laid! Find God!: The All-in-One Life Planner (Mass Market Paperback)
I bought this on the strength of its title, and also because it looks so damn sexy with its shiny gold and black cover. Maybe it's just me? Anyway it's not really about losing weight or getting laid or finding god, but about planning your life year by year. Examples: age 7: ask adults stupid questions, age 25 have a quarter life crisis, age 79 talk about the war, age 17: lose your virginity, age 56: have plastic surgery. Etc, you get the picture. It's all a joke but actually the author(s) is making a point about life and ridiculing other self-help literature. Read it, laugh out loud, then think. Great gift for some one with a sense of humor...

5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh Out Loud Funny, November 19, 2006
This review is from: Lose Weight! Get Laid! Find God!: The All-in-One Life Planner (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the type of book you should read out loud with a group of friends that have a sense of humor. The funniest thing I've read in years.

2.0 out of 5 stars this book-shaped object thing is getting a tad overdone, April 16, 2007
This review is from: Lose Weight! Get Laid! Find God!: The All-in-One Life Planner (Mass Market Paperback)
This is another book-shaped object that's mostly coffee table fluff. If you're looking for something amusing to put on your coffee table this qualifies (also see Benrik's This Book Will Change Your Life), but if you're looking for something substantial than you're going to have to look farther than this book-shaped object.

Note: "Book shaped object" is a term that describes something that appears to be a book but indeed doesn't quite qualify by definition. Mostly it lacks any real text/writing.

This book-shaped object is mostly funny blurbs and bright unrelated graphics. It's engaging in an ADD sort of way. Flip through it at your bookstore/Urban Outfitters (this is the sort of book that would appeal to the hip, though not necessaritly well-read Urban Outfitters crowd) before buying it.

I'm only giving it two stars because I think Benrik needs to learn a new trick. But, once again, it's a fun book-shaped object that might offer your dinner guests some form of distraction for a minute or two.
