This book has helped me a lot during my journey to lose weight. In order to lose weight you really need to focus on both exercises and eating habits. They go hand in hand and in most cases you won't be able to reach your goals with just one aspect (from my experience). I have read quite a few books that deal with different aspects of weight loss and found this one helpful. For people to expect this book to cover everything that has to do with weight loss is a bit unrealistic. You can "look inside" the book (click the image) and look at the table of contents, it's quite obvious what the book covers. Take this into account before you complain that this isn't what you were looking for.

I am slowly progressing towards meeting my goals, so far over the last 6 months I have lost 23 pounds as of my last weigh in. On top of watching what I eat, including always eating breakfast I also take Raspberry Ketones to help with weight loss and for appetite suppressant. It seems to really help. I have also found the workouts provided to be helpful, I have incorporated some of them into my gym sessions but another thing to think about is taking protein at breakfast. I read it was very helpful for weight loss to drink a protein shake of around 20-30g of protein as your breakfast. I am currently trying it for a month to see how it goes.

Losing weight is not just about watching what you eat but also exercising consistently, good to get both in one place. I had all but given up on trying to lose weight until I read this book. It gave me the kick in the you know what to get started. It is full of common sense and practical advice and best of all you don't really have to run out and buy a lot of things just to get started. I found the author's advice on eating very enlightening. Part of my problem has always been eating too much and still feeling hungry afterwards. By following the advice, I'm noticing a difference. I've also been taking CLA caps and raspberry ketones (Primaforce Max CLA 180 Softgels + Free 25 Grams Raspberry Ketones Powder) to help control my cravings, helps a lot.

Bottom-line this isn't your normal dieting book, more fun than others I've read. Another book I'd recommend is 101 Best Foods to Boost Your Metabolism. I'd call it a very nice complement to this one.

My name is David Nordmark and my primary interests are related to health and fitness, with a side order or politics and economics (not to mention film).

I'm probably best known for my fitness ideas. My general health and fitness philosophy is that if you want to be as strong and healthy as you can be, you only need to watch what the animals do in nature and follow their example. Any animal that you can think of is far stronger and healthier than any human being. How do they get this way? By constantly exercising with their own bodyweight. I'm also interested in politics and economics. The first book I've written in this vein is "Understanding American Exceptionalism: What it is, how it came to be, and why it's fading". It's been well reviewed, for the few who've read it, lol.
