Book Description

You don’t love a mocha the same way that you love Jesus.

As a teen today, you probably have plenty of interests and plenty to plug into. In the midst of the constant stimulus—activities, media, text messages, and social networking—activist and fellow teenager Zach Hunter asks: What consumes the bulk of your time? How do you zero in on what really matters?

Zach wrote this book to share powerful inspiration from the lives of others and to promote his steadfast belief that his generation is capable of great things—actions that may require shedding conventional notions of what is cool and important—and of choices that can heat up, ignite, and stoke the flames of a deeper passion, the kind of passion that changes the world.

Are you ready to lose your cool?

From the Back Cover

Throughout history there have been passionate people who have used their passion to change the world. Some changed it for the better, while others were passionate about things that had terrible outcomes. But whatever it was, each of these people was willing to make big sacrifices for what they were passionate about. In Lose Your Cool you'll read the stories of these people and their passions.

I just finished this book last night, it was AMAZING! I could not put it down! It was sooo good. It is filled with great stories and it is so inspirational! I am going to recommend this book to everyone!

If you haven't already, you should read Zach Hunters other books - Be the Change and Generation Change. I own all three! I am planning on reading all three of his books again very very soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars I never was cool to begin with... September 7, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Zach Hunter has a real gift. He manages to write about real troubling issues within humans and outside in the world but makes them immediate and human and personal. I come from a vastly different background, age range, and gender, and yet his voice is so pure and touching. He reminds me and all of us that no matter who we are or where we are in our lives, we can make changes and make a difference in our world.
I would highly recommend this book. It is not just for teens, though if you have teens in your life that are searching for a way to matter in their own lives and own worlds and in the greater world, please hand them this book or any of Zach's books. It does all start from the inside and Zach recognizes this. You don't have to travel to far off countries to make a difference but you can make a difference.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, Inspiring Stories June 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was a little surprised that this book didn't include more stories of Zach's own stories regarding his passion to abolish slavery, but I enjoyed this one. Great stories of many other whose passions fueled them to do GOOD things in the world.
