I just love this song and always put it on when I am going to a big meeting or other big event where I want to kick butt.

Liked that I was able to download the MP3 version while awaiting the hard copy CD to arrive in the mail.

I don't frequently buy CDs but this one had several songs I liked so I figured that I would give it a shot and I'm glad I did. Most CD's are a rough collection of songs by the artist with some stand out hits. This CD has several standout hits but the sum is better than the parts. I feel like it tells a whole story and that story is an apology with a promise to do better. It connects with the listener on an unexpected level. Of course the rhymes are strong. I would wouldn't hesitate to pick up this album again and its got a good beat that I enjoy working out to.

This is a song that speaks to everyone that has let life beat them down to a point that they're sick and tired of being tired. Remember nobody hits as hard of life and it will beat you down. Say what you will about Eminem the guy drew a line and refused to be pushed across it. We should all do this and this story speaks to this.

Who can not relate to something in this song? This is one of a cadre of underdog anthems and I had to have it on my mp3 player for those times at work that I feel I'm not making progress.

I am not a big fan of Eminem but there are some songs I really like of his. This is one of my favorites from the movie 8 mile comes one of his greatest's hits. I have never seen the movie, just didn't catch my eye, but this song ROX. I don't consider this song a typical rap song. It's more of a rock song with a message. Everytime I hear this song I feel like I am apart of the crowd in the video. I think even the hardest headbangers will like this song do to the toughness. I know once you hear this song you will like it, so give it a try.

THX,

I think this is one of those "everyone" has it on their running playlist songs. I actually don't listen to much music outside of exercise so what I listen too has to come up big. Great beat, lyrics, and length which always gets me striding exactly right. I place it towards the end of my run when I'm more tired and need the pick me up and motivation. This is not a pop song - and it will seep inside of you and just sort of fester there. It makes me anxious but not in a bad way - in a way that just works to keep me going when I think I've had enough.

Lose Yourself from the film 8 Mile is lyrically one of the best songs Eminem has ever written. Not Afraid is his other song I love the most. I recommend this song to everyone. Even those people who say they are not into Rap or Hip-Hop. This song will make you reconsider ruling out everything in this Musical Category. I love what Eminem does in his writing. Listen to what he says. Perfect. jkm

To me, the use of bad words in song lyrics is okay when they are used appropriately (as opposed to when they are used just so the singer can hear himself saying them). This song is one of the greatest ever written, musically and lyrically, and it most certainly deserved to win an Oscar.

I Hate Rap Music! O.K. Got that out of the way. This song freaking ROCKS! Lyrically and Sonically, It Freaking ROCKS! Eminem is a pure American poet in the same category as we once reserved for Morrison and Dylan.
