5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST BOOK ON THE MARKET FOR HORARY!
I have over 10 other Horary Astrology books all written in the dark ages with language that is outdated and very difficult to decipher. Alphee takes all of the information available on Horary Astrology, puts it into clear, precise English and makes it much easier to finally understand the intricacies of the many rules and put them into practice. I can't recommend this...

1.0 out of 5 stars Lose this book before you find it
An ignorant mish-mash of pseudo-astrological "wisdom" that should be given a miss by anyone really wanting to learn this subject. Lavoie's prose reflects his uneducated background, and he lacks the sharpness, clarity, ethics, and insight that so many other, far more articulate and informed astrologers have on this subject. Try books by Anthony Louis, Karen...

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST BOOK ON THE MARKET FOR HORARY!, December 3, 2004
This review is from: Lose this book... and find it through Horary (Mass Market Paperback)
I can't recommend this book highly enough! It is just the best on the market if you really want to understand Horary and be able to use it.

4.0 out of 5 stars The technique works, July 17, 2003
This review is from: Lose this book... and find it through Horary (Mass Market Paperback)
The previous reviewer, who chose to remain anonymous, clearly has not tested Alphee's methods. They work. Enough said.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lose this book .. and find it through Horary, July 30, 2005
This review is from: Lose this book... and find it through Horary (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is one of the very best on the art of finding lost articles with Horary. I have this book and it is a true treasure and I refer to it all the time. Alphee's discovery of the method of using Local Space to find lost objects is one of his most ingenous techniques ever to be used in horary and it works like a charm! The anonymous reviewer should remain anonymous with shame! It is obvious that that person is not informed about horary to any extent at all. The author of the book, Alphee Lavoie, is known throughout the world as the World's BEST Horary AStrologer for over 45 years! Because of his accuracy and professionalism Mr Lavoie has been writing and answering horary questions in Dell Magazine for over 10 years. Professional astrologers all over the world call him up to do their horary questions for themselves as well as for their clients! When world reknown astrologer, Rob Hand first received a copy of this book, he had lost an article. He called Mr Lavoie and told him that after applying the rules layed out in this book, they were so precise and clear, that within minutes of applying them, he was able to find his lost item!
Attempts to smear a professional's name and good reputation of almost half century should be kept off such a public forum such as this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Specialty Horary astrology, October 8, 2007

This review is from: Lose this book... and find it through Horary (Mass Market Paperback)
This is not a book on Horary astrology: It is a book on a narrow use of Horary, namely that of finding lost items. It is easy to read and understand. It's a good intro to Horary, as long as one understands that Horary is not just finding lost items. The price that people are asking for used books is outrageous; I don't understand why Alphee just doesn't re-issue it.

Lavoie's prose reflects his uneducated background, and he lacks the sharpness, clarity, ethics, and insight that so many other, far more articulate and informed astrologers have on this subject. Try books by Anthony Louis, Karen Hamaker-Zondag, or Mark Edmund Jones--Lavoie is primarily a salesman of software and books, and a frequent lecturer at astrological conventions--but those who know indicate that he is unable to deliver the goods as a horary astrologer. Give this book a miss and go after one of the many other fine books on the subject offered by Amazon.com
