5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you Ms. Gosling, February 28, 2011

This review is from: Loser's Blues (Paperback)
I first read this book many years ago and since then it has sat on my 'all time favourites' bookshelf. About once every year I resurrect and re- read it and it never disappoints. It is a modest and unpretentious little story about a musician who, whilst in the middle of a murder investigation and other trials, falls in love. This story has everything, a murder mystery, a love story, a conspiracy, a private eye and even a car chase - complete with cocaine. The writing is very good, it is well put together and the progression is logical. Ms. Gosling's power of description is first class - parts of the story are reminiscent of the style of the old Raymond Chandler who dun its. For pure uncomplicated enjoyment this is a must. Thank you Ms. Gosling for many hours of uncomplicated enjoyment.
