5.0 out of 5 stars Trae - Losing Composure (classic to me) --6 Stars--, February 7, 2004

This is an excellent album. It's a classic in my eyes. Only song I don't like is that Pimpin song (just aint my type of song), but the rest of the album is bumpin. I love Shyna singing on the choruses. She got a great voice. All I can say is maaaaaayn! Great album. I look forward to his next one that he working on now.

Still waiting for Dougie D to drop a real album, and not flowing over other people's beats. One of my favorite songs on this album of Trae's is "Strugglin" featuring Dougie D and Shyna (on the chorus).

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic album from Trae, April 14, 2010

Trae drops a classic solo album here for his 1st solo (as far as I know). I have 4 of his solo's and 1 of his mixtapes and and ABN album, and all are good (also have another solo & ABN album that I haven't listened to yet. This is his 2nd solo classic (with 2009's "The Beginning"), I'd give his 2006 "Restless" 4.5 and his 2007 -"Life Goes On" & his "Tha Truth Show" mixtape both 4 stars and his ABN album with Z-Ro "It Is What It Is" 4.5 stars as well; so it's easy to see the man make good or great albums at a consistant basis. This one has 15 songs, 4 are near classic material, 1 is ok, the other 10 are good or real good songs. Guests are heavy, on every song except 1, so you don't get as much of Trae as you might like, but nevertheless the guests hold down their spots well. No production credits are given, but it is handled nicely. As always he has alot of deeper more personal songs, which him and Z-Ro always do so well. A must have album from a slept on southern MC.

#2 - 8.5 (f/ Z-Ro & Bun B)

#4 - 9.5 (f/ Z-Ro & Yukmouth -- nice beat)

#5 - 9 (f/ Billy Cook -- nice beat)

#6 - 8.5 (f/ TC & Shyna -- deeper song)

#7 - 8.5 (f/ Billy Cook -- another deeper one)

#8 - 8.5 (f/ Russell Lee)

#9 - 9.5 (f/ Z-Ro -- tight beat and a song reminscing about the old days)

#10 - 9.5 (f/ Russell Lee -- tight ebat)

#12 - 8.5 (f/ Lil' Boss, Jay'ton & Pimp Skinny)

#13 - 7 (f/ Paul Wall & Chamillionaire)

#14 - 8.5 (f/ Dougie D & Shyna)

#15 - 8.5

#16 - 8 (f/ Charlie Berry)

#17 - 9 (f/ Shyna -- another deeper song with nice beat)

#18 - 9.5 (f/ Z-Ro & Dougie D -- tight beat)

5.0 out of 5 stars Trae Da Truth!!!, August 12, 2008
This review is from: Losing Composure (Audio CD)
If you are in the zone and need an escape then this is something you should be listening to. this cd puts me in groove just makes wanna kick back put my feet up and chill, good cd to bump in your whip or at a party. my personal opinion is that trae has always put out a hard cd much like his kinfolk z-ro. i also recommend k-rino cds if you want lyricism of astronomical proportions.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Album that Needs its Share of the Spotlight, December 27, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Losing Composure (Audio CD)
This album by trae has to one of the best rap albums ive heard in 2003.

Trae puts together a near perfect album using excellet beats and nice vocals to put together an amazingly good album. Although this album isn't one of the most gangster albums ive ever heard, yet it keeps me feelin every song on the album without really having to skip around through tracks.

Will someone please get Trae a good record deal so i can hear some more of his music.

This album is a must for almost anyone who likes rap music.
