Book Description

Laura Stevens thinks she has it all. Loving husband, two adorable kids and fun, loyal friends. And then something horrifying happens…

Her husband Mike gets a new client. A female client.

A gorgeous, recently divorced, ex-model client. And she’s left wondering:

Do Secret Phone Calls + Secret Meetings = Secret Girlfriend?

With the help of her zany, adventurous friends, Ella and Deliah, Laura is determined to find out. But the real question is… does she really want to know?

Losing It is a lighthearted, honest (maybe too honest) look at motherhood and marriage. Complete with misadventures, intrigue and suspense, it will make you laugh and cry, all at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Witty, intense, and capturing August 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
From the beginning of this book I was laughing at Emma's wit. She's fantastic and some of the things that are said in the book are like thoughts pulled from the threads of my own thoughts! You're left waiting until the very end to know what happens to her marriage and if things are really what they seem- and I love it that way. The waiting makes the book worth while, especially since more and more is added to the equation the farther in you get. Her friends are absolutely fabulous and utterly brilliant! They are great friends and add so much to the story with their jokes and also their pains. A beautiful, full of heart and truth story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just started reading it and am loving it! What fun March 2, 2013

I just added this book to my Kindle Smart App and am loving it. What fun. The tone of the book reminds me of one of my favorite authors, Sophie Kinsella. The moment you open the book, you are flung into the real moments of life and feel connected to the main character. Can't wait to update. ~ m

***Just finished! wow! so much fun to read a chick-lit novel again.
Emma Bright's novel "Losing It" captures the hectic pace of motherhood, spirit of friendships and also tackles marriage issues at the same time. From a divorcee group to one single hot real estate woman chasing after Laura, the main character's husband, Mike, the plot thickens when Laura's girlfriends step in to uncover whether or not Mike is still faithful...from fun lists of how motherhood can feel to other thoughts strung out in Laura's mind, this first person narrative read at a fast pace with fun scenes and surprises. An enjoyable read! If you are a mother with small children this is a hilarious, fun read that will resonate with your current schedule.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fast paced laugh out loud story. July 28, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Losing It by Emma Bright

Laura Stevens has it all a loving husband, two kids, the perfect life. Then her husband gets a new client and Laura starts to think her husband is having an affair. Determined to find out the truth, with the help of her two friends, she sets up a scheme to find out the truth.

A fast paced laugh out loud, fun story. Laura was funny, she has a great out look on life. She is a bit flawed and neurotic but it gives her character. Written from Laura's point of view we get a great feel of what she is thinking. I recommend to those who like chick-lit, women's fiction, comedy.

The story kept my interest right 'til the end. I had to know; did he or didn't he? I could relate to being a mother of young children.

This book shows how signs can misread and how clueless some guys can be. It was funny and entertaining. It is great to see s guy who loves his wife that he doesn't pay attention to the world around him.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost gave up but I'm glad I didn't! August 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It took me a while to get into the story but then I really enjoyed it. As another reviewer stated, it seemed at first to be a "ramble of thoughts" but then thinking back to staying home with my little ones, I realized the author did an incredible job of recounting the minutiae of daily life while telling our leading lady's tale.
