I saw this band live at the Bamboozle Roadshow, and despite being a second stage band- they were way better than any of the more famous headliners. This is a great cd that bends genres but manages to make it work.
They bill themselves as a return to pure old fashion punk such as The Clash or The Buzzcocks, but although elements of that are there, that really isn't what the finished product sounds like. Part of that comes from the production value. The mix was made with a hard rock sound despite that not being their style, but despite my usual disdain for this, I must say they made it work here. Partly this is because the there songs will be going along like a punk song then break into a hard rock solo or a bass riff reminiscent of zepplin just to mix things up. The second break from pure punk is that hey write in catchy hooks that any pop song could be proud of. It is nearly impossible to not keep hearing the chorus of Are You Blind? in your head or to sing along. What you end up with is an album that sounds borderline modern emo without sounding sissy like so many others. The edgyness is very refreshing and missing from so much new music. My only critiscism of this band would be that they are really young and still seem to believe that saying FU to the world is making some kind of real statement rather than a cliche that has been tired for decades. They will grow out of this and their music will only get better for it. Please buy this CD and support this band so that we can get a chance to hear that. I promise you that just the two songs Are You Blind? and Smiling With Hate alone will make you very happy with your purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, February 28, 2010
I never heard of this band until they came to Birmingham, AL while touring with The Used. In my opinion they were the best band there. They were great performers and had some really great songs with amazing beats. I will recommend them to anyone I meet now.
