For young guys, this band is awesome!! Their lyrics are good, not all new ideas but they are good ideas. Mark from The Unseen signed this band and I believe it was a good move. The lead singers voice is a little hard to understand, but it sounds really good, depends on the style of singing you like, but I would say buy this cd and share it with others!

So, my friend Cory introduced me to this band, and he's a dude who is passionate only for the more hardcore, fast-paced and crazy punk from the east coast (I actually have no idea where this band comes from but that's an overgeneralization). His CD collection includes like 100 burns and 10 actually factory CDs, so when he actually put down his own money (he has no job) I knew that he was really into this band.

Anyway, I'm glad he burned it for me, because if I had paid for it I might have dismissed it and sold it back. The first thing that came to my mind was that it sounded almost exactly like the Casualties except for one thing. The dude's voice is SO ANNOYING! Now, don't get me wrong, I love the Casualties to the point where I drive from Cleveland to Pittsburgh to see them live because for some reason they don't come to Cleveland, but that voice, oh that voice.

To make a long story short you get used to the voice. It's high and nasily and squeaky at times, but you learn to like it. The background vocals from whoever (I don't know this band all that well as of now), sounds like a couple people chanting, is awesome and reminds me of Rick and Jake from the Casualties. One plus for this CD is that instrumentally, they have a lot more to offer than the Casualties do, which is always a plus, especially when it's not overproduced, and it isn't. Musically, this CD is catchy and fast and loud and at times a little expirimental (Just listen to the intro to "This Generation" and you'll see what I mean), which makes it very appealing to the ears.

Biggest drawback now that the voice doesn't bother me: the lyrics. The lyrics are not very good at all to be totally honest. They don't cover any new ground really, it's the same "People are ignorant" "You can't control me" "Punk is the best kind of music" The lyrics to "Long Live the Underground" is basically "Scream Out" by the Unseen with a twist of emo-ness in that fact that he talks about how he wanted to kill himself. The chorus to that song, salvages it however, that and the fact that usually I have no idea what this dude is saying.

What's cool about this CD is how easy it is to look past all the flaws that I just mentioned. After so many listens you don't really care that the lyrics suck or that the dude's voice sucks, it just becomes a good ol' fasion hardcore street punk CD, and one among few since the genre's kind of dying and no real new street punk bands are getting anywhere these days. Standout tracks are "Loss of Words" "Won't Waste My Life" and "Long Live the Underground." Basically, I'd recomend buying it and giving it several listens before giving up on it, 'cause in the end I think any fan of the genre can enjoy this CD thouroughly and down the line, it might be seen as their breakthrough CD (I say this out of ignorance because I haven't listened to "Finding Freedom in Hopelessness" yet, shoot me)
