unfortunate loss of such a good band,

I was disappointed to hear that 3rd Strike broke up. I heard about three months ago or so. I've loved this band ever since I first heard them. I saw their video for "Redemption" and I absolutely loved the song. The songs are all high quality and easy to sing to. I introduced one of my friends to them and they are now his favorite band. I recommend buying it. After all, it is their ONLY CD. Good for fans of Flaw, Unloco, and possibly Ill Nino.

Here's the breakdown:1. Awesome song, the guitar breakdown after the second chorus is awesome!! 2. Great song, heavy and all!! 3. Wow!! Very neat!! Very depressing, but also uplifting. I think this is my favorite song on this album. 4. Cool song!! 5. The lead single!! Very simple and very cool chorus!! 6. Fast-paced and very heavy. Sounds like the complete opposite of song #3. 7. Another song, I guess. Nothing special. 8. Another song, nothing new. I usually skip this. 9. Very good song!! Good enough to be a single!! 10. Very depressing. Awesome song, though. 11. Rock on!! It's the remake of the classic song originally by Ozzy Osbourne. Very awesome, well done. The vocalist sounds alot like Ozzy Osbourne, too. 12. Good hip-hop song, funky beats and grooves!!

The new leaders of the Rap/Metal Revolution!,
By Buzz N' Frog (Shelbyville, KY USA) - See all my reviews

3rd Strike have made an excellent Rap/Metal album from beginning to end! With great lyrics and rock out guitar riffs this band is worthy for Ozz Fest! They are on Ozz Fest this year along with other great local bands around my area such as Flaw, Switched, and Mushroomhead! Time to get to the review of the best Rap/Metal album for 2002 known as Lost Angel! Track One:Flow Heat is awesome at the beginning with kick [butt] distortion on guitar with rap vocals at beginning! Resist one more time walked the line burning through the pages of my life. Now those are great lyrics! This is only the beginning of a great album! Track Two:Walked Away starts off much heavier than track one:Flow Heat with its awesome emotional lyrics that really make sense and its cool bass riffs! This is the new sensation for the Rap/Metal Revolution! Track Three:Redemption shows that this band has a morbid side to them from beginning to end in this song! The guitar at the beginning just before the song gets heavy the guitar takes the pressure off of you if you have ever been down before. Track Four:Blind My Eyes has its dark moments but, starts off as a simple rap song but, soon the darkness comes in with the horror! Track Five: No Light is 3rd Strike's first big hit! The lyrics and singing vocals make this song perfect! I have no more to say. Track Six:City's On Fire Is a heavy hitter with its distorted guitar and bass riffs and voacals talking about a city on fire! Track Seven: Breathe It Out is my favorite song because, of the way the guitar starts off with its heavy parts! It all turns around shortly because, of its lyrics that make this song so great! Track Eieght:All Lies is possibly the heaviest track on this album that would certainly make the pit go crazy and when you get out you might be really bloodied up! Enough said! Track Nine:Strung Out has wild distortion that sounds like it came out of the movie The Exorcist! What I think they mean in their lyrics for this song is that they are strung out on dope. Track Ten: Lisa is another great track with the guitar and vocals. The lyrics are so morbid that it almost makes this song seem like an audio suicide note but, it is good! The song is very sad and I do not think that you should listen to if you have just recently lost someone close. Track Eleven: Paranoid is a cover version of Black Sabbath's Paranoid but, this time it is rap! Track Tweleve: Hang On is a song that is really rap but, the singing vocals make the song good! I think that 3rd Strike spent alot of time working with this album before they released! For the lyrics are great and the guitar riffs are crafted out so perfect! Get this album because, once you have you can say Limp Bizkit move over! The shows over and it is 3rd Strike's turn to lead the Rap/Metal Revolution!

I happened to pick this CD up at a yard sale for a quarter. Never heard of them but has become my favorite CD. Someone else mentioned that there's a mix of Staind and Linkin Park and I have to agree with that. I definitely recommend this CD!!! Everyone I've played it for has also been impressed.

alright, so they do rap, and they don't pull it off so successfully.the music presented isn't half bad, as it's very groove heavy, almost sevendust like at some points.the singer is definitely a pithole for this album, but the music is good for the most part.for fans of dry cell, cinder, sevendust, and element eighty.

I just recently bought this CD, I knew very little about the band at the time but the CD was on sale at $4.99 at my local CD shop so I figured why not. I popped it in the CD player in my car and was blown away. Their sound is very original, I would like to tell you who they remind me of, but I cant honestly thinkg of anyone. 3rd Strike's beats and lyrics are as powerful as dare I say Metallica? This CD is one of the best CD's I've gotten in a long time, these guys should get ALOT more attention then they do.ROCK ON 3RD STRIKE!!!

I don't get what's so bad about this cd. Yes it is Rap/Metal, but there is no other Nu-Metal That has this much melody and GREAT singing. Lisa, No Light and Redemtion are 3 of the best songs I've ever heard. The only song I don't like on this cd is "Flow Heat" It's WAY TOO Limp Bizkit gone Deftones.

An urban Staind, with a little hint of Linkin Park!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lost Angel (Audio CD)
These guys are awesome. I know they sound like everyone else, but still their sound is great. The lyrics are like Staind from the ghetto and the music is a little lik Soil and Linkin Park. That's a good mix. Anyway, I picked this CD up the day it came out because a couple of weeks before it was released, I picked up a DVD Sampler for 99 cents from a unknown rock group called 3rd Strike. The name of the video on the disc was "No Light". What really caught me was the To Be Seen on Ozzfest 2002. Whenever I see an Ozzfest logo, that means the band is really really good. So, I picked it up and put it in immediately. I was hooked by these guys. The sound was really grungy and hard and the lyrics were tight! Anyway, pick this CD up now while it's still cheap! Plus, check out the Black Sabbath "Paranoid" remake on here, it's really good!
