Just finished reading Lost and thoroughly enjoyed it. This story is engrossing - I couldn't put it down. Has a slightly different take on the typical 'ghost' story. Best of all, according to the website, [...], it is the first of a series of unique and different books set in this town.

Can't wait to see what's next in this series.

I have to agree with everyone else here: Lost by Vivi Anna was an excellent start to what looks to be an interesting paranormal series, set in a town full of secrets. The characters intrigued me and the town and lake were eerily atmospheric. A good read on a dark and stormy night when the wind howls. (as long as I have a cup of something hot at my elbow and my cat on my lap, I'm all in for a great story!)

My thoughts:
I was captured by the first paragraph. Vivi Anna brings Kirsten and the story to life in this well-written, clever, fast-paced novella. Lost is vividly descriptive and filled with carefully created characters. The emotions running through the story are strong and compelling. The relationships seem to appear simplistic on the surface, but run deep and strong in the hearts of the characters. The many facets of the lives in Bandit Creek are intriguing. This is a great start to what I believe will be a successful series. I can't wait to read more.

More About the Author

Vivi Anna is an award winning, Canadian multi-published author in paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and scifi. She's been writing since 2002, publishing short stories for men's magazines, then went on to novels, landing her first agent and first NY publisher in 2005 within a week of each other. Since then she's published close to 19 books and novellas for Harlequin and others.

Vivi is the current president of CARWA and also a co-founder of the popular #TVwriterchat on twitter. She's also an aspiring screen/TV writer and has won the RWA Script Scene screenplay contest with her adapted script Vanquished, has finaled in both the Austin Film Festival and Slamdance Film Festival with her adapted TV pilot, Occult Crime Unit.


Some of her favorite authors are George RR Martin, Moira Young, Kim Harrison, Rachel Caine, Simon Green, Mark del Franco, Melissa Marr, Suzanne Collins, and Stephen King.
